Hilarious thread, 101% not gaming related Microsoft don't have the disposable capital to buy SCE and it would be foolish even if they did

Sony's current market cap is currently 26.83B, last year MS made 18.760B in PROFIT a controling stake (50%+) in Sony would cost ~15b+ assuming they had to offer a more than the current stock price so even after spending 8.5B on Skype MS would only have to borrow ~5B to control Sony, then sell off any unwanted assets to recoop costs and MS would only make a small (relatively) loss for the year. Not that they would want to...

A gaming combination would mean the best gaming system ever.

Too good to be true

So I agree with kowenicki, its probably the Vaio + Windows 7 holiday campaign preparation or something

but it would be awsome if microsoft and sony did a xbox playstation partership..sony can take the lead on the hardware design while microsoft can take the lead on the software side...imagine playstation X with an upgraded kinect camera with move wand support. if they were to partner they would kick nintendo butt

Mircosoft could buy sony, tho Japanese Government would never allow such thing to happen.

Viao or Phone related. Microsoft is a Software Company and SONY a Electronics company, so one supplies the software the other the hardware, Have we forgotten the Windows 7 ads were MS send there employee to Sony Japan headquarters to design a touchscreen that works best with windows 7.

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

The Uncharted Gears of Killzone

I'd buy it.

It would be like the Autobots (Microsoft) and Decepticons (Sony) banding together to take out Unicron (Nintendo)! In the past, I dreamed of Nintendo and Sega doing something like that to take on Sony.

Of course, my dream is but a Fal Cie's fancy, now.

Interesting, but I'm not holding my breath.

If it was gaming-related, it'd be called Xbox-PS or something anyway, right?

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Probably nothing, but fun to wonder.

Atto Suggests...:

Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series

Game - Metro Last Light

TV - Deadwood

Music - Forest Swords

A Microsoft employee has come out in the open and specified the reason for the company registering two domains names Sony-Microsoft.com and Microsoft-Sony.com.

Frank X. Shaw confirmed that this was just a defensive move in order to ensure that no third party can wrongfully purchase the said domains and misuse them. It has nothing to do with a possible partnership between the two giants.

re: sony/ms domain names: Sony = great MS partner. No scoop here, this was just a defensive domain hold. Let’s move on to weekend, kay?

The tweet pretty much explains it all. So, drop your speculation hats and lay everything to rest. Have a great weekend.
