A Microsoft employee has come out in the open and specified the reason for the company registering two domains names Sony-Microsoft.com and Microsoft-Sony.com. Frank X. Shaw confirmed that this was just a defensive move in order to ensure that no third party can wrongfully purchase the said domains and misuse them. It has nothing to do with a possible partnership between the two giants. re: sony/ms domain names: Sony = great MS partner. No scoop here, this was just a defensive domain hold.
