No, the averege IQ is not 135-140, it's definately significantly lower than that. What makes you think everyone on this site is telling the truth? It's really no different than asking people about their penis size.


The real average IQ is 90-110 as I said, the people telling their points sure are not telling the truth or used altered tests. So what's the point of answering the false when you know yo're not really that smart?


A lot of people think high IQs are something to brag about.

Although to be fair... While the numbers reported are too high.  I definitly wouldn't expect the real average of the site to be 90-110.  I'd expect it to trend higher just because it's

A) A a website

B) A videogame website

C) A videogame website that is centered around sales numbers.

 

I would think that would cause IQ to skew a LITTLE higher.

How long does it take?

Edit: Pretty short test, I've taken some that ended up being like 40 minutes..

I ended up with a 133.

according to that test i got 134, i considered that test easy but i'm pretty sure that a real IQ test must be very hard.

I agree here, but actually I'm the lowest there and that makes me LOL...I'm not sure a genius but about logic I'm usually considered a smart person, and I look a stupid by this tests. Maybe the people who got 140-150 should try my same test, iqtest.dk, and tell what's their result, I don't know a single person who scored higher than 130, but I know a person who scored 98.

I would say the average IQ of this website is significantly higher than the average IQ overall.

I find that the people I meet on this website are far more intelligent than any normal person, from what I have seen so far, hardcore gamers just tend to be intelligent, I can't find a link or a reason why but they just are.

Anyway, I don't see why people are so driven to prove that they are more intelligent than others. From my personal experience, intelligent people tend to be complete assholes. I can't find a link or a reason why for that either.

There are a few reasons considered for that. 

Most generally accepted is that people with high IQs have a hard time developing personal skills with "normal" people.

 

As for the first part... gaming is somewhat technologically "advanced" afterall, it's widely accepted now, but I mean, up till 10 years ago, admitting you played videogames was "nerdish" for people who were older and such.  Same with the internet.

So while casual use has spread, the hardcore are still probably very high IQ wise.


However, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if the IQs of people who are 18 or under now are more or less average since it's no longer seen as a nerdy thing that smart people with poor social skills do.

I can assure you it is MUCH higher than 10. Probably higher than even 15, but some might argue (but they are wrong, lol.)



 

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

ive had a real iq test done when i was younger. i do hope that no one takes internet tests to heart, be they high or low.

The test is very inaccurate. As I was trying to get to number 16 to answer RageBot's question, I just geussed every question and got a 111!


I legitly answered the questions and got 111........SHOULD I BE ASHAMED!! :-O
