Mario most certainly DOES NOT need a break!
That son of a b*tch is the laziest character in all of videogames.
Not once have I seen or even heard about him doing his job!

When a Mario Plumbing game is released, after it gets a few sequels then we can talk about taking a break.
But first the man needs to get a hold of himself and quit jacking around with mushrooms and race cars, grow the f*ck up and punch in the clock like the rest of us!

Slacker!

The Mario & Luigi series is right there, you know...

are they plumbing games??

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!

Yes and no. There is a plumbing sequence in the first one. It turns out fixing pipes aided the villain’s plans. Given that precedence, its not really a surprise that Mario doesn’t spend more time ‘at work.’

Of course, I'm joking. The game is a brilliant satire of Mario, RPG and game tropes in general. Still, that’s plumbing in a Mario game, and to be technical, the game in question had sequels.

Don't think so. Well, at least for me. I don't buy everything with Mario's face

Non 2D sidscroller Mario needs a break

The day a Nintendo console sees competent 3rd party support is the day you'll see Nintendo stop using him so much. I mean they're holding their console afloat single-handed.

I imagine if we see some real, actual, non-shitty 3rd party support they'll do a Mario platformer (what's a Nintendo console without a Mario platformer?) and then dig around in their archives for stuff we haven't seen in a while.

No, you all can say he does, but gaming isn't the same without him.

If you think he needs a break, stop buying his games.

He can take a break when CoD/BE/Uncharted//RES/MGS/LBP/FF/KH/DQ/ etc etc does.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints
