It's nice. Not too awesome, but nice.

I'm a bit underwhelmed this time. Last time we got the awesome statue (which I got =D), this year we're getting pins. Still pretty cool, but it could've been better.

Anyone else getting sick of Nintendo's Mario obsession? Logo's, references, anniversary, merchandise, red boxes..it's become both boring and annoying. I love the franchise, but ever since New Super Mario Bros. Wii saved them, they've been pointing at themselves to everyone saying "Look at us! We have Mario! Nintendo means Mario! Nintendo offers you Mario, Mario, Mario!". Maybe they were always this way, but I think it's gotten worse as of late.

You'd think they would just release more 2D Mario if they appreciated it this much.

I want that!

So 2009 was still the best year for Platinum rewards.

Meh. I would've preferred a Zelda figure to go with last year's Mario.

Still gonna get it - free is free, and still better than Gold's calendar - but not particularly excited.

So do you know what this year's platinum prize is in Japan?

It's probably something unfairly awesome... maybe an NES Zapper attachment for the Wiimote... :-O

In Japan the Club Nintendo year ends on September 30, and usually the prizes are announced around November, so I don't know yet. But I hope for something cool.

In Japan Nintendo sometimes offers 2 different presents, so you can choose one. Last year I could choose between the badges and a handkerchief set. If you wanted both items you could buy the second one with coins (of course this was only available to platinum members). So I got both items of course.

This year I'll reach platinum with both of my accounts (one in my name and one in my wife's name), so if there are 2 prizes I'll get both again. :)

I actually like wearing pins and buttons, so this reward is totally awesome for me. I actually got pretty excited when I saw it. I loved the statue last year, but I honestly don't need more stuff that just sits around. Having something to wear out and about an show my N-love is cool.
