That deal has been going on for a few weeks now, and you can see a small bump in Black Ops PS3 sales.

Makes sense. It also explains the reason why Call of Duty: Black Ops for PS3 is outselling the 360 version despite PSN recently having a one month online outage. Two Birds with 1 Stone.

I think it may not bee too long before the Wii starts tying with the PS3, possibly even dropping below it again.  And man, the PS3 pulls even farther away from the 360.  Gap is over 25K this week.  Can't wait to see how far the gap is once the PS3 gets a price cut.

Right, now off to make tens of thousands.

Flingsmash was a new IP, this is a sequel to a game that sold millions. How could you have known it would bomb and bomb this hard? Hell, for all we know it could still inch toward 5mil. But i agree they need to stop these lazy efforts, so maybe bombing is a good thing???


It seemed pretty straightforward to me.  Wii Play did well only because it offered a spare controller during the peak time of Wii popularity.  People didn't buy Wii Play for the game, they bought it for the controller.  Flingsmash bombed pretty hard and it is now in the discount bins at many retailers-- I saw it for $20 a couple weaks ago.  As we already established, people aren't buying Wii Play for the game-- the game was terrible.  So if they are only buying for the controller, then Nintendo has to compete with its own discounted Flingsmash bundle.  Also the demand for the Wii is low right now.  This should be a good lesson to Nintendo to stop these cheap cash-ins and develop some good games. 


you know what i actually agree, with this, but you know there are people that will argue with you tooth and nail that Wii Play sold because it was a good game.

People need to get off Kowenicki's back, as his future business partner I am willing to go one on one with anyone in this thread that have the audacity to attack his honour behind his back.

Also, that BHR guy started the whole thing, he baited him, Seece showed that Kowenicki hasn't even been online for like 9 hours and people kept on railing.



Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

Actually the "online" or "offline" status just tells whether you are logged in or not. You could be "offline", but lurking.   

I can imagine poor Kow lurking for hours, watching the terrible XB360 YoY numbers and telling himself "Resist, Kow, you must pretend you weren't there"!
