Flingsmash did just as terrible so it wasn't hard to predict that wii play 2 would crash too. Nintendo needs to stop releasing this crap. They have 3 good games that could sell decently for the Wii but they won't bring them over. |
Flingsmash was a new IP, this is a sequel to a game that sold millions. How could you have known it would bomb and bomb this hard? Hell, for all we know it could still inch toward 5mil. But i agree they need to stop these lazy efforts, so maybe bombing is a good thing???

It seemed pretty straightforward to me. Wii Play did well only because it offered a spare controller during the peak time of Wii popularity. People didn't buy Wii Play for the game, they bought it for the controller. Flingsmash bombed pretty hard and it is now in the discount bins at many retailers-- I saw it for $20 a couple weaks ago. As we already established, people aren't buying Wii Play for the game-- the game was terrible. So if they are only buying for the controller, then Nintendo has to compete with its own discounted Flingsmash bundle. Also the demand for the Wii is low right now. This should be a good lesson to Nintendo to stop these cheap cash-ins and develop some good games.

you know what i actually agree, with this, but you know there are people that will argue with you tooth and nail that Wii Play sold because it was a good game.
