Maybe saving it for christmas with Zelda, more of an impact.

But why suffer 4 months of sub 10 k sales for that? I think they should've just dropped the price.

Because it's largely worthless either way now, even a price cut with Zelda isn't going to spur on massive sales later this year.

Wii is a dying console, I don't think Nintendo care much what it sells, after this xmas, and especially E3 2012, it'll be like the Wii doesn't even exist anymore.

It didn't work that well to justify the cut last time in Japan. They'll sure do it, but when the bump is acceptable (holidays), right now they'd sell like sub 20k, still just over PS3.

LOL at wii sales..that's just beyond horrible! no matter how one try to spin this one those numbers are just wrong when it launched a bundle (or was it bundles?)

and PSP reigns supreme again!!!!111!!! okok it's a tiny lead but a lead nontheless...zelda was able to bump 3ds up for only one week

I agree with a previous poster who said psp is saying yo I got this...they should just give a western launch priority imho.

oh and ps3 hw despite being almost twice as much as market leaders sales could be better..but afaik psn is still down in Japan (someone correct me here if I'm wrong with this info) so it could be affecting it a bit
