What is a good site to import Xenoblade and The Last Story from?

I'm going to hack my Wii so I can play them.

Such a shame Monolith had to go to Nintendo.

I use amazon.co.uk to import games from the UK.

What's the normal shipping rate to the USA?

Amazon.co.uk doesn't ship to North America. Try Game.co.uk or www.zavvi.com

Seems there is only one website to pre-order this game from at the moment. It's only the special edition or what-ever the one on the front page is. I'm not paying 75 dollars and shipping for it though so i'll wait until they put up the normal edition.

Ya, I looked at it as well, and was like....ya I don't need a controller. (However do note the regular edition will most likely be $65.00, so it won't be that much cheaper).

Actually some people say it might be 35 pound sterling.... so I don't know just yet.

There's no need to rush and preorder this game, it's still two months away. It's not like JRPGs sell out in Europe on their first weekend. Aside from a few major gaming series, nothing has a big opening weekend (games usually release on Friday in Europe).

By using your signature statement you are telling me: that I should rush and preorder this game, and that it isn't two months away....and that JRPGs do sell out, and that it will be big.

*Yes I am bored.

I'm pretty jealous of Europe right now... All I can say is that if NoA never releases these games I'm going to be very sore about it. I've always thought Nintendo put their fans first, but now I'm starting to think I was wrong.

I envy you Europeans! Don't ever sit there and tell me Nintendo screws you over the most again :P

Though I would say that this gen NoA has screwed over the US more than NoE has Europe, in total we've been screwed over far more than the US ever has.

Atlus doesn't have a European branch, meaning they don't publish any of their games here.  Occasionaly some get picked up by other 3rd parties (Nintendo with Trauma Centre, Square-Enix with Persona 4 and Namco-Bandai with Demon Souls for example), but games like Shiren the Wanderer, Strange Journey, Radiant Historia, Devil Survivor and almost certainly it's 3DS remake (and I want that too...) all haven't been picked up here.  The DS ones don't matter as much as I can import, it's just very expensive at times(the cheapest one on Amazon is £43.98, which is $70.67).

North America may be missing out on Xenoblade Chronicles, but has got all the other Xeno... games.  On the other hand, Europe has only go Xenosaga II.  At the end of the day, NA will have 4 Xeno... games, while Europe only has 2.

I guess though, that anything is better than the situation in the 4th generations, where Europe basically didn't get any RPGs at all.  Europe missed out on the likes of Final Fantasy IV and VI, Chrono Trigger, Ogre Battle MotBQ, Super Mario RPG, Lufia, all which released in the US.  It would be easier to say which SNES RPGs Europe got, which were limited to pretty much just Secret of Mana and Mystic Quest Legend.  Even in the 5th gen, which saw the likes of Final Fantasy VII and Pokemon greatly expand the popularity of RPGs, the likes of Xenogears, Chrono Cross, Tactics Ogre, Valkyrie Profile, Dragon Quest VII, Ogre Battle 64, all 3 Arc the Lad games and more all skipped Europe.

YESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!

Seconded X10000000

This game looks truly amazing, and 2nd September is a good time as it's just before I return to school, so that's a nice bonus!

Also, sorry Americans. But hey, there's an English version right? So hack the Wii, tell NoA that you have and why and INSIST the game is localised, and you'll buy it again. Or at least threaten. Over 2,000 people threatening to hack their consoles to play the game is surely enough to localise, right?

Even if it isn't, you can still do it anyway

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
