Forums - Gaming - Namco: Tales of Vesperia exclusivity contract was “false information”

who says Microsoft is greedy for getting an exclusive rpg i don't get that lol. sony has plenty of exclusive games. Also id rather get a 100% new game like graces and xillia than 15% of new content for a game i have beaten 3 times on the 360. I would buy vesperia again with the extra content but it doesn't seem worth it.

Exactly! If you want to play ToV that bad just get a 360.  And if you are a JRP fan you should pick up Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Last Remenant, Infinate Discovery and ToV.  All these game are less then $15 except for ToV which is still around $25.

@Soriku, Rol: Israel is no man's land!

Azerbaijan and Armenia are in the Eurovision... I suppose that they're Euros too eh? :P

Yeah that is why countries like Armenia have the possibility to join the EU.

The EU needs to DOWNSIZE, if anything.

No I am not, it is an enhanced port. You claim it is a remake, which it is not.

Vesperia could easily be released as a 2 year old title seeing as how they have no trouble porting a 5 year old title and only adding 16:9 widescreen and touch controls for your AI companions.

The point is that Vesperia has already been released worldwide, so nobody gives a damn. However, Abyss hasn't.

Do you hate the non 360 owners who want Vesperia or something?

Yeah I saw/see more people trying to get Abyss to Europe than people trying to get Tov on ps3, so obviously more people cared. Now lets be honest here? How many people were still whining about getting Abyss to Europe and co, and now look at how many people are whining about getting TOV on Ps3. You blame other people for not buying a console they want for a single game, but on the other hand the europeans who don't buy a simple chip are poor victims. Yes the information about the chip was a bit harder to get for young people, but getting their parents to buy another console is also hard. Both are easy to do if you want, but i won't buy  360 just for Vesperia and maybe Gears. Right now more people wanted TOV on ps3 then Abyss in Europe, simply because it overdue.

Also it was cheaper to play Abyss in Europe than it was to play TOV in english if you didn't have a 360. Also less of a waste money. A small chip you can use to import or a console you buy for only one or two games. I know my pick.

I'm Dutch and I played Abyss years ago, for less money than buying a new 360 too.  Both the people who want TOV on ps3, and the Europeans(and the rest) who want Abyss have their rights to want to want without you nagging about it, one isn't any better than he other. Some people simply can't afford a 360 for one game. Don't go hating the TOV lovers just because they don't have a 360 like you do.

You came to a Vesperia thread? What did you expect to find here?

False information my ass, we all know what happens behind closed doors with Microsoft.

She exposed Namco as sell outs and Microsoft as a greedy corporation, if only everybody had a tongue as loose as hers, I know what is going on behind closed doors and I don't agree with it.

Sorry...I must have missed the 'holier than thou' giant expression of philanthropy to the gaming community from sweet angelic Sony, paying Rockstar for the development of Agent and then agreeing to make it multi-platform.

Yes, SONY are absolute angels and I would defend them with my life >_>.

When I take a dig at Microsoft for being so greedy, only a fanboy would take it as personal as you just did.

I am not saying SONY are angels, they have probably done this a few times before too, but nowhere near on the same scale as Microsoft have done this generation. I could understand doing it with one or two developers to help the XBOX 360 get off the ground, but I am starting to get sick of it now. They are making the competition unfair and cheating PS3 gamers. I own both consoles, and I still ended up getting screwed over by this exclusive deal. We will most probably never see the light of day of that extra content in the West, which is pretty infuriating because Tales of Vesperia is one of my favourite JRPG's ever.

And where is your basis for saying that SONY paid Rockstar for Agent exclusivity? We haven't heard a single drop of news about the game yet. I don't care if SONY did, the only way they can hope to get ahead this generation is fighting fire with fire. How do you know it wasn't to appease SONY after GTA4 went multiplatform? ...How did that happen again?

As much as I like my XBOX 360, I will never support this type of so called "competition".

Well, I've been waiting for a new Tales of for so long that I'm oficially pissed.

Europe doesn't count.

Says the European :P

He's not European.

His profile reads Israel, Israel is a member of the UEFA, therefore he is European. Like it or not, but those are the facts.

That's because half Arab world would not play with an Israelian team.

Well I guess you were never a Sega fan.  Rinse and repeat.  There's always a bigger fish.
