Yup. Downloaded it earlier today.

Feels like there's a bit of a delay on the jumping. And the whole game just feels kinda... Floaty. The new spin-dash also seems to take some getting used to.

Better than Sonic 4, though. But it's no Sonic 2/3/& Knuckles.

Downloaded it and played it. psysics are much, much better than Sonic 4. Sonic accelerates very fast. and heres the big thing.

its too fast. i couldnt really make calculated jumps, because i felt it was going too fast for me to be able to.

another problem is it dosent feel the same as the Gensis Sonics, the jumping psysics are stringently controlled. it dosent matter how fast you go, you can only jump to a certain height. unless you use the jump pads, but then those are also based on controlled jumps or platforming.

overall a solid build, but i dont think i'll get it straight away. Sonic 4 wasnt that good and i dont think this will be much better.

The newer Sonic games just have terrible pacing, controls, animations, level design and physics...So basically everything that makes Sonic, Sonic.

Sonic 3 nailed all these aspects for the 2D version of Sonic.

Sonic Adventure 2 nailed all these aspects for the 3D version of Sonic.

Whether it be a 2D or a 3D game, unless Sonic Team can get the game as similar as possible to the two games above me, then Sonic will never be the same. Sonic at the moment just has simplistic level design and it is too fast, it's just a button mash through the level, there are no jump calculations or complicated level designs.

SA 2 nailed all the physics of 3d Sonic??? LOL!!! Yeah because Tails controlling a robot in a poorly made shooting section and Knuckles looking for Chaos Emeralds with horrible camera control is what Sonic is all about. Sonic Heroes is the true 3d Sonic that got it.
As for this game. I love it, better than four but still not on the level of Genesis era. I'll say this the 2d sections are way better than those found in Colors, not that was floaty

If you guys have the option, get the 3DS version instead. I played it at E3, and it swaps 3D Sonic for Sonic Rush gameplay, which while really really fast still gives you a pretty good amount of control. 2D Sonic felt closer to the classic to me too.

Actually getting this version myself. I am huge fan of Sonic Adventure series, but I can't see myself getting Sonic Generations Xbox360 or Ps3.
