with steamworks added to alot of the 3rd party games, Wii U could have a killer online system.

It's not that important to me as well.

Above: still the best game of the year.

This would be a crucial mistake, online mode has become just as important as the story mode or offline if it has no particular story.

First Miyamoto says the Wii U won't be powerful and now he says they don't care about online?

Seriously, the thread's title is just very misleading; What he said was, "We're not going to sit here and say that our goal is to become the number one online gaming company, because that's not our goal", and he finished with the following:

"But, understanding that the types of experiences our consumers like to play do often contain elements to them that can be improved or may even require an online connection and also knowing that the system is going to have a browser I think suggests that obviously internet and internet connectivity is going to be very important for the system." He went on to discuss possible creative uses for online. "There are opportunities to take advantage of online to expand a local, same-room multiplayer experiences by connecting that to the internet and making new types of play that way," he said. "Also by having the smaller screen, being able to go online and perhaps see what game your friend is playing or see what TV they're watching, I think there are a lot of possibilities for how you could use that," he said. "Certainly internet functionality is something that will be important for the system."

If anything, his main point was to stress that Wii U's online is an important factor, even if it's not their main goal to try and best the XBLA experience.

Most people would probably just have read to the end of that sentence and then started commenting :P

Some won't do. There's nothing bad in that interview or something positive that can be twisted to a negative thing against Nintendo.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Not, yet. We only have the Mark Rein twitter about it, but that's not a confirmation, just a comment.

I am little confused or in the dark on how Steam would work on systems (such as PS3 and possibly Wii U).  I can play whatever Steam games I have on my consoles?  Just not sure what all the abilities would be.

I don't have a single friend on my Wii because of wii codes. I hope things work totally opposite on my new Nintendo System. And I hope Nintendo is offering a pretty solid and free of charge service to all of its users.
