silent pc review aka SPCR

Personally I'd advise Silverstone Fortress/Raven 2 for air cooling and Corsair Obsidian series for water cooling , also fractal makes good cheap cases

^Speaking of which, guys, is there a good place for CASE reviews? Being a PC building newbie, I... can't distinguish for shit. I will be building a whole 3 new PC's in the close future, I'd love to see a place to assist me w/that :D

I am not sure to be honest. I see their reviews on standard computer sites like overclock.net and hardwareheaven but I've never seen a case dedicated site.

If you're buying a full tower, don't get anything sub 100 bucks unless its a crazy sale. Your hands and cuts they will get while setting up the mobo in a cheap case will thank you :)

If you're looking for a cheap mid tower case which is actually really well put together - http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147144

Makes other similar brand name cases (like Antec 300) look like second rate garbage.

Nice. I was on a budget but I wanted to get a decent rig going so for 650 (shipping included) I decided to build mine from scratch off of newegg.

GPU= Sapphire Radeon HD 5830 256 bit, GDDR5

Proccesor= AMD Phenom II, X4 955 3.2 ghz AM3

Case= CM|CAC-T05-UB BLK/BL RT medium size tower

MOBO= ASUS|M4A78LT-M AM3 R

Monitor= a hannspree 22 inch (yea i know, it's decent for now, i'll upgrade later)

2 gskill ram sticks at 2gb each (i'll go better and at probably 8gb in the future)

corsair psu 500W

Will take any advice Dis for the future.

One little thing...

Go for an AM3+ mobo. Otherwise you end up with a socket that has pretty much no future other than the CPU's that will go for it right now (Bulldozer, however, will work on AM3+)... or to be frank, I'd go with an i3 2100 instead of most Phenoms (and especially the 955). It's a good gaming CPU that you can easily upgrade for for an i5 2500/2500k (depending on your mobo/overclocking needs) once you get more money. And the i5 2500 wipes the floor with AMD's current lineup.

I'm not sure how well that sits with your budget since I'm from another country, but it shouldn't move you off too much.

@Zlejedi: Got it, will check it out :D

@disolitude: Was gonna go for this - http://www.coolermaster.com/product.php?product_id=6656&category_id=19 case, what do you think?

I don't know howmuch this case is but its very much inline with the rosewill one I mentioned. I ve never seen this case but have a hunch that the rosewill one is a little better.

Sadly, the choice in my country is quite limited =/

Just checked 4 shops, and none of them have that specific case. Or any Rosewill case for that matter =/

Gotcha, yeah do the best you can with what you got.

Try to look for a case which has a fine mesh covering the entire front pannel as thats where air comes in as it blocks dust. That Rosewill case didn't let much dust in at all in the 2 years I used it.

And look for a good fit and finish. Some of these cases have sharp corners and edges which are never fun...

Quite awkwardly you can't just copy paste a link :(

I cannot comment on how reliable that website is, but according to a couple reviews I found they seem ok.

That is an absolute beast of a computer!
