Kratos.....but more recently, Cole Phelps from L.A. Noire. Dude cheated on his wife and didn't even seem sorry about it. Not to mention he calls an innocent, grieving old lady an old hag at some point in the game, and is just an overall dick!

Squall from FFVIII, I do actually quite like Laguna though

Hated Squall and most of the characters (barring Zell + Laguna & Co).

But the game is one of the best ever!

Cole from infamous 1 is pretty awful aswell, especially his voice which kind of reminded me a little of Clint Eastwood. I also hate Zeke with a passion, his voice, his look, his lines, he's sort of a CO-main character so he qualifies

Yep, just about any protagoinist in a game published by rockstar

This can be said about a lot of JRPG game main characters.

In every GTA game yes, but I actually liked John Marston from Red Dead especially in the end *cries* and how he truely loved his family

Squall freaking Leonhart from FF VIII.

Gears and Killlzone have the market cornered in annoying characters for me. Marcus and the gang in particular, much as I like the game overall and the gameplay, I just want to chainsaw when I play the SP campaign. I really do detest them. Killlzone is a mix with Sev being too bland to be interesting and the bulk of the others being too Gears.

Good gameplay in both franchises, but horrible characters.

Cole in inFamous is a bit meh too but I can live with him... mostly.
