LG is not satisfied with WP7 but have said nothing about abndoning the platform.

And so did I? I wrote only on how they must think to themselves.

Huh? Looking back just to may, HTC said this

No doubt. But also, looking back at June:

"Jack Tong told that the 70% of the company's phones now are based on Android, and that number is expected to increase.

And don't get me wrong I'm not saying they gonna drop WP7 out of blue. But certainly they gonna invest less and less than before.

That has nothing to do with what you said though. You said they were moving away from WP7, when all that there means is that they are increasing the amount of Android phones they make, more than they are increasing the amount of WP7 phones they make.

There's nothing about moving away from anything in that statement.

Also, do yourself a favor and include sources when you quote someone or post some data, it makes your claim look much more legit.

A question, will MeeGo be released on devices made by HTC , Samsung and SE in the future? or is it forever exclusive to Nokia?

LG and HTC are participating in Meego, but no devices were announced by them. On the other hand, the biggest telco in the world, China Mobile, has Meego as their choice #1 so prolly we could see some Chineese OEMs like ZTE or Huawei or Meizu producing Meego handsets in the future. It's question though if other operators will be willing to import those handsets.

Mind you though Harmattan (N9 UI) is owned by Nokia, so they prolly keep it to themselves so other vendors will use their own or vanilla Meego Phone. It saddens me, as some companies apparently approached Nokia to buy out their Meego competence (people and products), but were refused. Elop wants to sink it completely, with no chance to rebirth whatsoever.

There's no question that Nokia is keeping MeeGo stuffed in the closet, but they do have one good reason not to sell it even if they have no immediate intention of using it: Leverage.

Nokia will have an easier time wrangling concessions from MS if they can raise the spectre of  switching to MeeGo, even if past decisions would make that choice painful, awkward and expensive.

There's an interesting article on the N9 from Ars Technica here. http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/news/2011/06/nokias-new-meego-based-n9-is-set-up-for-failure.ars

It says that the N9 isn't actually running MeeGo, but a hybrid of MeeGo and Nokia's old Maemo. This might explain why MeeGo isn't being used fully yet.

The phone design looks great to me, all way round. The posibility of selecting which OS to use would be great for the phone's future.
Or any Nokia phone for that. You want WP7? Install it. Prefer MeeGo? Come over here.

I'll be eyeing both this and the future Nokia WP7 at the end of the year. Need to let go of my old trusty HTC Touch.

Dual boot OS perhaps? Choose the one you want on the fly...

It needs to be on another phone if it's to happen. WP7 has only been designed to run on a few select chipsets, and the one in the N9 isn't one of them.

I heard the first Nokia WP7 phones will be OEMed by Compal lol.

Nah, still looking forward to this N9 beauty. Standby time upto 16 days, meow! And if I want WP7, I'll buy Acer for that :P

Just seen the Nokia WP7 leak video and it is really just an N9 with an extra camera button. That phone could still run the MeeGo OS with some xda magic? If the OS fails down the line or you get bored of swiping, you could still get the latest WP OS on the phone. It's the kind of phone I'd be looking forward to. Testing some cool OS, and future proofed with another one. Wonder how Nokia will go on with these ideas and how they will implement them.
