Plan A-business administration.

Plan B-to become a prostitute.

That could actually be a good part time job to pay for college!

Plan A: Go to college and get a degree in engineering (specific TBA), minor in Theology
Plan B: Graduate HS and embrace the hobo lifestyle. Or major in Theology and become a pastor, whatever works....

You don't really major in theology to become a pastor. You go to a seminary for that.

Theology majors are more or less only good for being a theologian (an academician dedicated to theology), similarly to how you only go for Philosophy to get into the scholarship of Philosophy

Well, shows how much I've planned out, now hasn't it? :P

Mr.Khan is both right and wrong. At my church I know two pastor's who majored in theology, they say its very important to understand theology to be a pastor. However he is right in saying you will need to go to a Bible College or Seminary depending on which denomination you plan to pastor in. One of my pastors just left to take Theology in University, but he's already a Pastor so....

Actually scratch that  while my church requires you major in something and take seminary, not all pastors even do seminary or Bible College. My old Church was its own denomination (Non-denominational) they trained their own Pastors and hired them. So those Pastors never went to Bible College or Seminary.

But seminary and Bible College look good if your going to be taken seriously as a pastor. So if you choose to become one you'd probably like to get educated.

Plan A was to join the military (a bit of a cop out). Did that. Didn't like it.

Plan A v.1.1 was to be a cop. That went pretty well but certain things made me hate that choice.

Now, I have a well paying job that's so easy, I could do it in my sleep. I don't feel too fulfilled but its stress free. Should I just stay the course? Sometimes, I want to go back to being a cop. If, for some reason, I lose my job, I don't have a plan B. Porn, maybe?

-Oh, I don't mean porn star, either. I mean I'll just go watch some porn.

The fun with being an International Relations major is that there really is no plan B as something wholly distinct from what you're up to. I was actually talking with my university's career councilors yesterday, and basically IR Majors can go into any industry so long as a given company in that industry does something internationally (and given all the global trade and foreign direct investment going on today, that's more or less everywhere). So i could work for Firestone tires helping coordinate with the Japanese company that owns them, or work with Ford associating with their plants in Russia, or even stay at my own University, just work in the Study Abroad unit (very unlikely, but possible)

My main plan is to either go teach English in Japan (though that would only be a short-term gig, 1 to 5 years depending on how much I like it and how well I do) or to get into the US Foreign Service, but i'm going to try everywhere I have the time for in my Senior year next year, so anything that isn't the JET Program or the Foreign Service is Plan B, but it would all still be relevant

Same here, probably next year... I dont qualify for the jet program though... I moving there by the end of the year, probably a month or two, so everything will depend of how well things go by then...

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

At this current stage in life, my Plan Bs are all looking a better prospect then Plan As, yet I have no idea what those Plan Bs are, they just aren't Plan As.

More specific, work, I am in web and while it seemed like a great idea, I not know that I should have kept web as a hobby not a profession. What to do next though, I have ideas but none are a plan.

Not going to go into other aspects of my life.

Hmm, pie.

Plan A: Become a no nonsense highly conservative politician. Run for presidential office three times. Fail to earn republican nomination the first time, second time lose to a more charming younger democrat, and the third time withdraw due to a highly embarassing scandal. Sadly, I know this will not happen because my family is not rich enough for me to be able to become anything over a local mayor.
Plan B: Become an unemployed inventor who creates a new product that initially sells amazing, but is later withdrawn due to health violations. My company is then sued and I am forced to file bankruptcy.
Plan C: Intentionally hurt myself at any job, and sue my employer.
Plan D: Become a surgeon who one day hears voices from animals and this new found power of translating animals throws my life and career into turmoil. I then come to grasps with my new power and use it to make money.
Plan E: Escape the Matrix...

Plan A does not really exist at this point
However Plan B is become a teacher :P

Yes I have Plan B before a Plan A.
