this is the thing i thought of. how many "hardcore" gamers bring their "friends" over to play COD:BO, or assassin's creed, or battlefield 3? i can bet you 1% and that 1% only lets their friends watch and not play anyways. hardcore is online 99% of the time for multiplayer. for games like mario why have the wii U controlelr when it you and all yoru friends? which if you notice you can have 5 players playing at the same time on alot fo the games. like chase. so why cant a family of 6 not have trouble with a ps move? see the point here? sorry sony fails once again. i think its timefor sony to pull out of the video game market cause they are losing fast and hard.

I guess hardcore gamers who have "friends", because I do this each week with my friends, and I know people who do it too. Playing with your friends in the same room is so much mroe fun.

Look i think we can all agree that split screen gaming is shit, and annoying. When i play Black Ops with a buddy, the last thing i do is split screen, we share when we die. But this is Nintendo we are talking about. Rumors come out that only 1 controller can be connected and then WHAM ! All of a sudden split screen is important to the "hard core" gamer ? Pffffffffffff what a joke.

I remember Nintendo confirming Wii motes are compatible with WiiU. But if 2 or more want a to play with the WiiU controller then you got a problem.

I think he is just refering to the news that wii U will only support 1 tablet controller ,which certaintly isnt something positive. It will limit the mulitplayer options of the console.

There are not many games on the ps3 that supports 6 player local multiplayer(see below), but i dont think that was the point he was trying to get accross.

I never said split screen was important to hardcore gamers, I personally don't care if there's a split screen or not, I just said that playing with friends was still cooler than playing alone. I like online coop too. I was just commenting on the fact that many people are inviting their friends to play together, since you were claiming the opposite. Btw no, split screen isn't shit for everyone, as always tastes and colors...

This statement is ridiculous, it shouldn't be compulsory to have six players but if it's really needed then perhaps an extension could be made. We are in an online era though.

I think if you have a family of six than mostly likely you spend too much time making babies and not enough time gaming!

Plus, I think you can play 8 people round robin on Wii Golf in Sports Resort, so Wiin for Nintendo.



 

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.
