ditto.  how have we not gotten an answer yet on this aspect.  we have seen so many games being shown as playable on both, yet no word yet on what this means.

Do we have to buy two versions of the same game?   how hard is that to answer

or is it like some blu ray movies that come with a digital download and/or dvd copy.  cause if buying say mgs5 for ps3 means you can play it on BOTH for that one same $60 price then thats great.  If this means you need to buy a $60 ps3 game AND a $40 PSV game then that shit.  OR if it means all these dual games like this are going to be a $80+ ps3 game then that is also shit.  What about those that don't have a psv, they have to now pay more for just the ps3 game?

I think it depends on the consumers.

IMO there'll be a bunch of itterations before they find out the best fit.

1) Two separate

2) PS3 or PSVita separate, but if you have 1 you can pay a fee to play on on the other

3) Both together with cloud fee?

4) Both together

If it's as easy to develop for as SONY says, making the development cost of a Vita game small. Having both on one disc isn't that unlikely.
However, they might want to add some sort of code that will make you want to buy the game new.
I.E. each copy comes with an online activation code that a lot of games have in order to limit the number of used game sales.

There's a lot of different ways. Without knowing the economics it's hard to decide what is the best option. Companies are probably trying to figure this out now which is why they haven't mentioned specifics.

Hopefully its like that with them both sold together for like an extra 5 bucks or something otherwise the feature is pretty much pointless no one besides insane fans would buy the same game twice just to play it on the go and at home.

U guys do realized you have to buy the same game twice right.
And if u think there will some way to buy a single game to play on both then either SCE is incredibly stupid, or they are really desperate for third party support.

well see that is what i'm trying to figure out.  it just seems very dumb idea to me in general.   we have

1. you have to buy the same game TWICE.  one at $60 and one at $40.

2. if it comes with the PS3 game, then does that mean PSVita ONLY users won't get to play it unless they buy a PS3 game?

3. If sold sepeartely as i said in 1. then whats to stop people from buying only the CHEAPER ps vita version. lots of lost revenue here in that instead of selling a $60 game you are selling only a $40 game. 

For example.  How do I a PS VITA ONLY user get to play MGS5?  Do i have to buy a $60 ps3 game? and then how do i get it to play on my psvita?  i can't put the disc in my ps vita.  i can't put the disc into the computer.  Or do i get to just buy a $40 psvita game?  then does that mean all that work kojima put into making mgs5 i bought it for ONLY $40?  Or am I forced to buy some kind of a double pack for like $90 or something that has both ps3 and vita game?  What do i do with my ps3 version that i can't use since i don't have a ps3?

Good questions.  Best case scenario is games will have tripple releases; one Vita (For the 40 dollars), one PS3 (For 60 dollars), one combo pack (Hopefully between 70-80 dollars).  Other situations can be to purchases from the cloud; buy the game on PSN and play it between all my hardware (kinda like the minis).  Worst case scenario is your first option; buying both copies for full price (This is the option that will doom the Vita to say the truth).

What are you guys talking about, he says right here that you only purchase 1 version: "so you'll buy the next big game from Kojima Productions on PS3, and there'll also be an NGP version [PSVita] and take it on the go."

Between, this is possible because it takes only 1-2 months to port a PS3 game to Vita. Im not saying all developers will provide both version for free though.
