A Twitter post by Internet hacker, Lulz Security, who recently mocked the security system of Sony and FBI, stated that the group has received thousands of dollars as donation to continue its attacks.

The LulzSec post reads, "Someone just sent over $7200 worth of BitCoins. Whoever you are...Thank you..."

Over the past couple of months, the group has not shown any sign of easing its attacks on Sony. During April, Sony's PlayStation Network was hacked, exposing the accounts of over 100 million users. Although, at that time, the company had apologized profusely stating that the attack was a highly professional, criminal cyber attack aimed at stealing credit card numbers, they had to undergo close scrutiny. Many questioned the security policy of the company at that time, asking how such a breach happened.

The second cyber attack that took place last week involved half a dozen Sony websites, some in the USA and Brazil.

In a statement, the company "confirmed that a breach has occurred" and mentioned that they are taking necessary steps "to protect against further intrusion. A respected team of outside experts is conducting a forensic analysis of the attack... In addition, we have contacted the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation and are working with them to assist in the identification and apprehension of those responsible for this crime."

Who on earth would give money to people whose vocabulary seems to be comprised exclusively of the phrases "for the lulz" and "u mad bro"?

They need the money for Mountain Dew, Red Bull and Kraft Dinner.

Nice, that'll buy them a year's supply of Cheetos.
