Forums - Gaming - Ladies and gents I feel we have finally come full circle (Nintendo hate)

as a long time Nintendo fan im still disappointed in there E3 presentation, and to this day i still only like 1 game on the Wii.

Nintendo has alot to prove before i'll even think about buying a Wiiu!

now as for those that continue to make lame excuses for ownning any console with ur narrow minded focus on hardware and graphic's i just don't have the time to comment on that as it is pointless.

criticism and hate are two different things. And with all companies, we will have critics. Nintendo is not exempt and never will. They had a crappy introduction to a confusing product, played trailers from other consoles and once again failed to impress the hardcore.

The one thing you have to give them credit for, they are very creative and always find better ways to play games.

I think we should say "other ways" :P. I dont want dual screen and touch screen in the games I play. I have the same opinion of Vita. The new dynasty warrior seemed to have awfully bad playability. The thing is, outside casual games, using those control method often ends up being more convoluted then just using the standard control, while looking at a different screen is longer and more trouble then pressing start lol.

Mario Kart with a gimmick? Please explain. Gliders and going underwater are about as gimmicky as picking up powerups while driving around a race track on a cart.

I was going to retort that it was no more gimmicky than Bikes (and really only as gimmicky as "tricks"), but yours made even more sense

That's what you guys got out of that? Really? I mean, that was hardly the point of the post. Did you just miss the general purpose and sentiment of the post, or were you trying to distract from it?

Wii sales nosedived a few years ago. 3DS sales are far below Nintendo's expectations. There isn't much excitement about Wii U. This means the EXISTING FANS are not happy about Nintendo's products or direction.

4 years since the last all new fitness game. No larger action game built around the Wii Sports mechanics, at all. 5 years since NSMB DS, and no 2D Mario in sight for 3DS just yet. Several years since Nintendo abandoned the very successful direction of "non-games" like the many which followed up Brain Age. One Mario Kart per console cannot sell every console. That's the problem.

"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.

The one's who hate Nintendo are fans of Microsoft and Sony.

See, i agree that Nintendo should put all of those titles on 3DS, but it's this persistent need to trash-talk all announced Nintendo games and start making things up (like how Mario Kart now is somehow gimmicky) that gets under my skin.

The Zelda discussion I believe i've had with you before, or if i haven't with another user who espouses your beliefs, and no more will be said about it

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

The one who hate are haters (fanboy). Fans arent necessarily haters, they do have preferences and critics. When those preferences and critics are based on something tangible they are obviously not haters. Im sure you already realise this though. The problem is when the said preferences or critics doesnt reflect the reality. Exemple: "I dont like the Nintendo 3DS because there are no games announced for it" or "I dont like the Wii U because it will not have 3rd party support". But saying: "I dont like having to look at 2 screen because I find its more trouble then pressing start" doesnt show biase or hate, it simply shows preferences. Thats great if people prefer playing with 2 screens, I respect that.

It may or it may not. If I wouldnt have those critics on Nintendo I might as well be a fan of their product too. Im sure that in some cases what you say is true though. With that said, they might surprise me with the Wii U.
