About the discussion about supporting Digital Releases or not... I'm on @Kresnik side.. If You want a game you can play it digital or not... but I want to ask @kresnik too... Not supporting the digital only release not buying.. isn't the same as no supporting it buying the physical release from Asia?

So quick question, have any of you ever had a physical Vita game that wouldn't install? I just got Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 3 in the mail and for whatever reason it's not installing the game and making a bubble. Luckily I should be able to exchange it but out of all the retail games I've bought this is the first was that just flat out doesn't work.

Have fun, I'm done. My points are present, I don't care less. I buy what I want to buy, I don't force myself into giving money into ideals I don't support. It's as simple as that.

It's quite something to wade into the middle of a discussion and then attempt to end it a few posts later with the "I'm done" card then withdrawing.  It's a forum, people discuss things... and people have different viewpoints.

But just to give my own final viewpoint - I think trying to discredit what I was saying as "when you don't care as much as the next person" is very, very poor form.  I care a lot about the Vita, that's why this thread is the vast majority of my posts every day; why I subscribe to GAF & reddit and it's the main money I spend on videogames these days.  I would like to see it have a future over the next few years.

And in its future, more and more Japanese games seem to be getting announced as we head towards 2016.  Games which look great and I want to see in the west.

But in the west, Vita is anemic at best, and if I were a publisher interested in making some serious money I wouldn't give it a second thought.  Yet many publishers are, for whatever reason, which is great news.  And some of them are choosing digital-only, which is not something I particularly enjoy, but something I can live with.  If you can't, then fair play to you.

I just pray that there are enough Vita owners still out there that did things like buy Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment digitally so that we could get Lost Song physically this year; or bought enough digital copies of things like Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z that Bamco could consider releasing Pirate Warriors 3 digitally in the west (and physically in Europe!) when Pirate Warriors 2 didn't come across for Vita in any form.  And so on and so forth.

Because I love getting Japanese Vita games in the west, regardless of format, as they're the main reason I still own the console & am spending so much on it these days.

I don't understand your viewpoint, but it is what it is and I don't want you to feel like I was attacking you because of it.  You're free to choose to buy or not buy games as you wish, and I never said otherwise.

Still done, but you've made a mistake. I never discredit anyones love and care for Vita. I'm talking the subject, Physical vs Digital. I care for physical on a whole different level than you. You can't understand my view.
I don't know about you, but I'm done because, it's not a subject to dwell on. Nothing to talk about. I heard it all before. Every title I've cared for and supported got what it deserved from me. When they bring a physical game I'll keep my hype, when digital I have no hype, it's w.e. Nothing else to it.

Yeah, you got a defective copy. I spent 8days looking around the place to get a working copy. All of them in my area pretty much had been defective. I ordered off amazon as a last resort andsaid if it doesn't work I'll wait a few months. Luckily it worked :). That's a public issue with Re;Birth 3 so exchanging it should be fine.

Yes and No really. Although not buying in the West still means the Western version didn't get a sale. If its an Asian English release it is still a translated sale.

Yeah, it's an interesting one.  In a way I am kinda not supporting localized releases, but I am - just in a different format.  I would honestly be quite happy for the next couple of years if we got Asian physical releases and European digital releases, because then if I really want the DLC I can buy digital, but if not I can import from Asia.  That's a situation I would be happy with and I'm already supporting.

The win-win scenario would be European retail releases, but still.

Yeah, fighting games players are the worst. I am one of them, I know the community as a whole pretty good and really, sometime they disgust me to play them. A lot of fighting game players defend their favorite game and spit on the others blindly. I am a third players but I know the problem with the game and I accept them. I wouldn't mind a little change or balance, but I know my fellow comrade of play would go in a rampage if that happens. They wan't the game to remain broken on every level...

We agree about the effort put in Alpha 3. The game is so polished, it is not even fair. The soundtrack make you want to fight, every characters feels alive ect... Plus the pixel are top-notch for a game that can run on psx.

I love the soundtrack in Alpha 3.  Everything they did in that game was so fresh.  They put so much effort into the little things in that game.  Fighting June and July if you're doing too good with that gorgeous background.  The way the round aesthetics come in and out with the timer, the announcer.  Different intro and victory poses.  I remember seeing Akuma use raging demon on Gen, for Gen to block it and hit him back with his assassin's fist and I was in awe.  Plus all the ones I missed cause they had to cut out a bunch from the PSX version.  Like you said, everything was alive.  Even the colour pallete, they matched colours so well in all the stages.  Plus the PSX version's aesthetics were amazing.  The particle effects were so nice.  They'd be different colour and sizes depending on what you did (regular move or spectial) and the lighting effects for super combos looked really great.  I like them better than the anime effects from the original, it just matches the game aesthics so much better.  Plus the flashing skull in Bison's stage.  I saw it for the first time and I was like "This is soo amazing!"  I was actually dissapointed when I saw the arcade version when I got the PSP version.  They put so much effort.  I'd actually like the PSX version best if they could have somehow got all the intro/victory poses in.  But yeah, fighting game community is so backwards.  They'll complain something is broken, then complain when they fix it.  Like, I like doing broken things against a computer.  It's pretty rewarding being able to pull it off, but not against person.  It turns into who can hit their combo first vs winning with skill.  What's your PSN?  I can't say I'm the best fighter out there, but I enjoy playing and I'm running out of people to play (Seriously, there's only one person I play Street Fighter with now and he's lazy).

Edit: Yeah, didn't the community go ape shit when they removed Urien's infinite with an arcade revision and the Dreamcast version?

Just incase someone is still looking to buy, especially in EU etc. VGP has the Ar no Surge Plus Limited Edition in stock once again surprisingly lol
