After reading the news about Destiny of Spirits, I feel like a small part of me just died.

I've been playing this game for over a year now and it was by far the most addictive game I've ever played. I would wake up in the morning and no matter how tired I was, it would take me 5 seconds at most to wake up and to start playing this game. It wasn't because it was so amazing, but because you could only fight a raid boss 5 times and needed to defeat x raid bosses in x days to get x reward. So, I basically spent every hour that I was not asleep or at work, playing this game as long as I was allowed to fight raid bosses or my spirits/creatures were not recovering.

I owe a great deal to this game for getting me through my PhD, giving me the motivation to wake up, and for being such a huge part of my life for a little over a year. Whenever I wanted to have an actual short- 2minute break, I could always fight as spirit and rest my brain for a bit. It was the thing I would play every day when I was in bed till I'd fall asleep.

I ended up clocking 2099 hours after just a year of playing and, as I mentioned before, I like short/8-hour-at-most games. So I have no idea how this game won me over. It is almost the only game I played since last March.

Which brings me to my next point. This game ending in a few months is really bad for many gamers and especially the developers, but for me, in a way, it could be a blessing in disguise. I had tons of fun and I didn't feel like playing anything else. Now I'll get to experience many games that I bought over the years, yes including Persona 4 Golden, which grew on me the last couple of times I played it.

Still have this weird pain in my stomach after coming back from work, turning it on and reading the message the sent us. I hope this feeling goes away, because right now it sucks more than words can describe.

damn man this hit me right in the feels

My biggest regret with this game is not being able to complete the Japanese goddess collection..only got Amaterasu and Izanami

my phd stuff is really killing my free time..what little gaming time I get i'm trying to finish my PS3 backlog...i desperately need to buy Freedom Wars also :S

Just updated my PS4 and both Vitas... so where can I switch between 30 + 60 fps in Remote Play?

Haven't tested it yet, but it was explained on reddit:

"To enable 60fps remote play, go into PS4 Link app on your Vita and then in the lower right click the 3 dots to enter settings and change the Video Quality for Remote Play to High Framerate"

By the way, apparently you can remap buttons on Vita with the update, which is fantastic...

... but sadly, not the front/rear touch pads.  Only direction buttons; face buttons; shoulder buttons and the analogue sticks.

I just tried it and i must say remote play is much better now. I can play a game like injustice with no delay. The touch pad controls are now the only thing holding back remote play, but it works flawlessly now.

Guys need a feedback.

Hows the new update? Is Near apps still working? Did they disabled Youtube already?

What Japanese goddess are you missing? Maybe I have it?

Also, what's your phd on (if you don't mind me asking)? It's really nice to see another phd student on these boards, and especially this thread.

@Kresnik. Means a lot.

Bro I know what you feel. DoS helped me survive those long night shifts at the office. I was surprised when I saw the message after the latest maintenance.

As for that Bamco surprise, I hope its Tales of Innocence R. :3

Who here has Oreshika? I am loving the game. It is very different type of turn based that makes it feel much faster paced and action packed than any turn based RPG I have played.

There is a startling lack of information available on this game. Sure there are reviews here and there but no Wikia? This game has a ton of nuances that demand deep explanations by experts. Like the algorithm used to determine which facial/body features go to the child. It doesn't seem completely random. Or what exactly determines when Heirloom Weapons/Armor level? Or what determines the ability to Diefy Clan members?

So many deep mysteries. Anyone got notes or pointers?

I bought it to get those bonus gods but haven't dug into it yet thanks to Hotline Miami 2 ruining my liiiiiiiiife. But it sounds like one of those weird JRPGs that tries to do a lot of interesting stuff that we don't get a lot of anymore, so I'm looking forward to it!

Maybe hit up Gamefaqs. I was poking around there on release day, and people were already discussing mechanics.

Yea I have seen quite a few interesting questions asked and answered in their forums. Its astonishing to me that this game has no Wikia or actual Guide on IGN, Neo or Gamefaqs. This is exactly the kind of game that NEEDS one. I have never done it before but I have half a mind to start one just to compile what I have found to be frequently asked questions.

And when you take a pause from HLM2, Oreshika is turnbased RPG brilliance. A bit later I will post my AR game codes so anyone can use my world or Heirloom Weapons ( a fucking really cool feature for sharing which more games should implement on vita).
