The Last of Us Vita, with a large focus on exploring for materials and allies to build up your own town. Can also feature online with trading or invasions... yep one can dream.

I agree that from the wording, it appears to be PS4 instead of Vita, unfortunately (or luckily for PS4 owners).

Whatup chaps.

So firstly, news that seems to have been missed.

Samurai Warriors 4-2 coming to Vita (what is the point of Chronicles 3 on Vita?):

Neptunia Rebirth 3 screenshots:

Also, some Infinity Engine games (Icewind Dale; Baldurs Gate) might be coming to Vita:

And the good news: those Minecraft Vita sales in the UK are pretty promising (sadly, it won't have legs).

Sadly, this is followed by bad news. Tales of Hearts R seems to have bombed in the UK (not even in the top 40? bleh).

Also, I think that Bend Studio has been the same for at least 2 years. I don't believe fora second they're developing for Vita.

And I don't think Escape Dead Island is coming to Vita either. It'll bomb on consoles. And they won't bother porting it to Vita - there was talking of porting SSX early in the console's life, but then it bombed on PS360 and they didn't bother. Same difference here I would've thought.

Do any of you guys know anything about PSO2?

I was reading this thread on reddit:

http://www.reddit.com/r/vita/comments/2mu39c/questions_about_playing_phantasy_star_online_2/

And it makes it seem like if you guy a physical version of PSO2 (or episode 2), you can play it on an EU account as long as you link it to a Japanese SEGA account.

Is that true?  Thinking of taking up PSO2 if it is :P

I don't know about EU but for the most part NA can't even log into PSO2 anymore since the DDoS attack. Some can some can't. see if this site loads for you before you think about importing. But yes it should still work.

Very sad. I quite enjoyed playing the fantranslation.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

There's definitely something inherently unsettling about lo-fi games. Modern survival horror has nothing on Silent Hill or Clock Tower in terms of creep factor. The refinements in terms of writing contribute, too, I think. Persona is a little more reminiscent of Deadly Premonition in that the town and the weirdness around it are the real characters while the kids themselves are just kind of... there vs. Persona 4's well defined protagonists and strong narrative drive which are more like a typical JRPG.

Besides that I think Persona 4 is aesthetically and tonally a pretty big departure. The enemies are just silly looking shadows instead of zombies and demons and stuff, and there's very little disturbing imagery or taboo behavior like the occult seeming "persona" game and bargaining with demons like in Persona 1, or Hitler from Innocent Sin, or a bunch of kids appearing to blow their brains out with the evokers in Persona 3. The murders and the Midnight Channel had some  potential, but the presentation really stripped away any sense of forboding pretty quickly I found.

I mean, they're not totally different obviously. It's easy to see how they got from Point A to Point B. But they've really developed a template for what a Persona game is by now, and it's no coincidence that they've dropped the Shin Megami Tensei brand from Persona while SMT still feels like the original Persona did.

I can't comment on the "disturbing imagery" in Persona 3 or 2, but there's nothing disturbing in Persona 1 so far.  hell a little girl summoned a robo rat to fight you in a comical way.  Plus the characters are, albeit rough, anime archtypes, much like Persona 4.  Like, I agree about the presentation in Persona 4 being over the top, which I loved by the way.  My original line of thinking though, was if they changed the music in Persona 4 to something like the originals (Still haven't heard it :/), would make it more errie like the first game?  Cause as it stands, just changing the music brings Persona 1 closer to 4 than something more accult like Another anime (As an example).   So are the games that far off in the first place?
