same thing happened to 3ds on amazon pre-orders, and 3ds has been slow. initial fanboy interest seems to jump pre-order interest on all new consoles. That said, I think vita may do much better since it is launching into the holiday season. It will be interesting to see if can compete with the ipods though

It's very reasonably priced, so I'm not surprised.

It's 23rd and 30th in the UK, because £230 and £280 is just ridiculous pricing.

230 GBP = 258 Euro. the rediculous thing in this is, how cheap it is in america compared to europe. <_<  (249 EUR = 360$)  .. and just for completions sake: 25k Yen = 312 USD.

For comparison the week nintendo 3ds specific info was released, it opened at number 3 and number 8 for that week
