Forums - Sales - How much will Wii U sell lifetime?

Not enough information is known to do a serious prediction so I will do like all of you and takes a guess: it will reach 120 million unit sold in 2018.

The Wii Ultra will sell between 50 - 70 million depending on when Ps4/NextBox is launched. So 50 million if it's 2013, 60 million 2014 and 70 million if they hold out till 2015.

60 million. There, everyone can serve me crow 5 years from now - but only if they posted their predictions in this thread too.

Ha by the looks of it you have one of the higher predictions!

OT: 65-80 million

Well it's hard to guess without knowing the competition to be honest, but I'll take a stab at 90M.

80 million, I think I'm being generous.

This ...

meh, at this point it's like plucking a guess out of thin air though.

I will say I just don't think it's as accessible as the Wii was, and that the Wii was completely fresh and new for the industry, WiiU won't have that wow factor, but as we've seen with Kinect, that kinda stuff still sells really well. I don't think the supposed catering to the core will make up for the loss of some casual gamers though.

That should be it's name...sounds cool. Wii U just sounds like someone went POO POO and you are trying to disgust the smell away. BLAH :(

80m

at least 25 m more than any competitors!

Switch!!!

@OP, please allow this comment:

Its so funny that your talking about lifetime sales before the price, launch date etc. etc. get announced, yet when I make a thread about the power of the Wii U I get so many people telling me I'm 'adding to the shitpile'.

LOL!

Anways, good luck with your thread I don't think its really possible to guess at this stage, but since its all in the name of fun:

70 Million
