mantlepiecek said: So this is a serious thread? lol, let me tell you exactly why MS failed epic at E3. Hear me out now.... MS only reveals everything at E3, you guys say this yourself, don't you? Now Sony spent 1 hour or so on PS Vita at E3 so ignoring that is a massive fail on your part since if Sony didn't talk about PS Vita they would have talked about the PS3. Its simple. Sony is not going to site on its a** for the rest of the year, they will be revealing games throughout the year so as far as I am concerned I am not worried. They revealed a big game like Uncharted 3 at VGA last year and starhawk could have been easily revealed at E3 but they didn't. Resistance 3 at gamescom last year as well. Its a simple thing. We are not going to get anything out of MS anywhere except E3. Sony meanwhile, doesn't take E3 that seriously. Overall presentation is obviously going to be more important in this case. Where MS will obviously have higher expectations since they do reveal big stuff at E3 and nowhere else. You are talking about Halo? Again, we have seen how many Halo games this gen? Halo 3, ODST, Reach just last year, and now a remastered Halo along with Halo 4, 5 and 6 in the future. That makes it at least 5 halo games this gen. Oh WOW what an unexpected announcement. That is excluding Halo wars as well. They also showed every title they showed last E3, like GoW 3, Forza 4, Ryse (they haven't still announced a date for this or an year), so predictable its ridiculous. Here's the prediction for the next E3 of MS, spoilers if you are excited for it: MW4 or the next CoD A couple of multiplats. Ryse. Kinect stuff. Halo 4. Halo 5 and Forza 5 have a good chance. And maybe something else to end it all. A new Xbox console maybe.

Well MS's Press Conference was an hour and a half where Sony still had an hour for PS3. Just because they chose to spend that time pitching a Resistance 3 HDTV bundle, doesn't mean they didn't have time, but good point.
Also MS doesn't always announce everything at E3.Project Draco and Steel Batallion were announced at Tokyo Game show, Forza 4 was announced at the Spike TV Game of the Year awards, and Gears 2 was randomly announced during the year. Halo generally gets an E3 announcment.
I don't think there is enough ground to say Sony will announce games throughout the year, but MS will not, nice try. I will agree with you about Halo, always announced at E3, and they are making too many for 360 now.
However I wouldn't count ODST as a full pledged Halo game, and Halo Wars is a strategy game, very different. 360 so far only has 2 major Halo games, and now 2 more for the future. I don't think the Halo trilogy will all be 360 exclusive, that would mean that in 2014, when a 360 successor is released (latest) 360 will be getting a flagship game, but the successor.
I will agree with you that MS's lineup is very generic, but in reality is Nintendo or Sony that different? Nintendo always focus's on a Mario, Zelda or Metroid title (for Wii, Zelda, for 3DS Zelda, Starfox, Mario, Mario Kart, Luigi, and Kid Icarus), and Sony always focus's on an Uncharted, Resistance, LittleBigPlanet, Killzone, God of War or InFamous title (and they did this year, except for Killzone every one of those games is getting a new installment, biggest PSV games are Uncharted and LBP).
However, with Mass Effect no longer exclusive, MS needs to make a new IP, more desparatly then Sony or Nintendo. Nintendo at least can make so many spin offs, and because it has 4 consoles now, you're going to see IP's reused many times.
So I still think MS won, and I don't agree with your arguement on Sony announcing more titles then MS throughout the year. However I will agree that MS's lineup is more generic then Sony's or Nintendo. Even though, all of them are pretty generic, which is to be expected since they are all well into the lives of their respective consoles.
