Well, there are exceptions I guess. I haven't ever seen MS announce any game outside E3 except for Gears of War 3. I can't see what they will do now till the next E3, from the last E3 till this year we haven't seen a thing from MS except kinect projects from Japan which we know nothing about. Its possible they will elaborate on it this TGS as well. But its just kinect stuff and kinect stuff are nowhere that interesting to me as much as Gears and Mass Effect are. Ryse going kinect is not helping things either. Lets not forget that MS will always have a particular game at E3 if its going to be released and is an important title. Even if its not an announcement, they will have it. |
Gears 2, Gears 3, Mass Effect 2 (I think), Forza 4, Forza 3, probably a lot more. Halo is the only franchise I know which is always announced at E3, and because of it MS had a better E3 then Sony did for PS3.
For upcoming games Project Draco, Steel Batallion, Rise of Nightmares, Gears of War Exile, and the said Forza 4 and Gears 3 were outside of E3.
Forza 4, Dungeon Hero, and The Witcher 2, were announced between last and this E3, and several Japanese Kinect games.
What's really happening is that MS's lineup's are becoming more Kinect focused then you and I would like. I was also really looking forward to a medevil sword fighting exclusive from Crytek. Microsoft is only advertizing their Kinect games, and the exclusives they are releasing for non-Kinect, are just sequels from established franchises. Yes Sony does the same, but they have a bigger pool of IP's to choose from, and they are reviving some older IP's (Sly, ICO, Twisted Metal).
Microsoft should do the same, where is Conker, can't they make a good Perfect Dark game? What about Crimson Skies, or geting together with Bioshock to make another Jade Empire?
