8 out of 10. It was actually a VERY balanced conference as a whole and had great pacing.

In terms of huge epic announcements? Well there was only 1 really and that Halo 4.

Way too many gamers think that these companies just care about core gamers. Look how much Dance Central, Kinect Sports, and Kinect Adventues have sole people. The fact is core gamers are only about 50% of the 360's demographic so this conference made sense.

The only thing that really dissapointed me was the lack of Alan Wake.....

You can say what you like, but the 5 guys that gave that show a '10' are hardcore fanboys

EDIT: 6 and counting...

I give it a 4/10. They did a good job presenting, but the Kinect stuff was just plain terrible.

Sure, the voice control for ME3 looked nice (only the combat part) but it will not be as accurate as individual commands with the controllerwhich I love doing. As for the voice control gun making for Ghost Recon, completely unnecessary. All other Kinect features were pretty embarrassing.

The main games are still good, even though we already knew about all of them before hand. Gears 3 looks great, not interested in modern warfare or Tomb Raider.

Or you know.....they could possibly be stoked for Gears of War 3, Halo 4, Halo CE remake, Forza 4, and the Kinect stuff.

But your right they must be fanboys.  Give me a break dude.

3 i had heard everything they ahd shown and announced except for disney land.

i really can't see how nintendo can lose. they have essentially 2 NEW consoles. I mean 3ds is about as new as you can get, so should be some great announcements and trailers, and gameplay and so on. Then the Cafe. i mean a new console basically always WINS.

As for sony, they are in a tough spot to win. there is a big exclusive list already, so doubtful anything new announced. the ngp is not a new announcement, and it ain't out yet, so essentially just a price announcement and date. But as for ngp games, i expect a good amount just like the 3ds, only difference is 3ds is ALREADY OUT, thus the games should release sooner. And i'm a fan of NOW and not FF or GT later, if you catch my drift

I missed the beginning with MW3 but I did catch Tomb Raider and Gears 3. Don't get me wrong they all looked great but I think that time could've been used to show off something else. Most may not agree about the Gears part but we've seen campaign demos since last year and we had the beta this year. The new stuff coming in the dash update had me excited as well as the gunsmith thing in Ghost Recon. That feature alone may have just sold me on the game. Dance Central 2 and Kinect Sports Season 2 are first day buys for me. Although I won't be buying Forza 4 I thought it looked great and should've had more time on stage. They could've shown on stage gameplay of the Halo Remake. I didn't really understand what the UFC thing was about so time waster for me. Star Wars Kinect has potential if they can fix the lag a bit. The Fable Journey demo was cool in that it showed it can be played sitting which is big for the people that don't have Kinect. The Kingdoms game had me excited until I realized it Star Wars Kinect in Rome. Although I knew it was coming Halo 4 almost brought a tear to my eye. It was great to see MC is back. So I'll say with all the content they were 7-8 but the way they presented it should get a 2-3. I'm sure the casuals will see it differently.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

3/10.

How can you dedicate so much to multiplats and then just blink through Forza 4, Project Kingdoms, Halo 1 and Fable Journy?

I'm afraid we're losing this war.

it got a 3/10 from me, reasons:
-The kinect stuff was really underwhelming, both kinect sports 2 and dance central 2 looked exactly the same as the originals, and both the Disneyland and sesame street games where disgracefully bad. Star wars was the best thing shown off for it and that was still pretty basic from a gameplay standpoint. Ryse really disappointed me as i really thought that would have been a core game. Ghost recon was the only decent kinect idea there.
-The core games were mostly disappointing mainly due to nothing non-halo was announced. The gears and forza demo's were ok, although they were pretty much what i expected. I remember on the VGA awards on spike CliffyB said they had a huge surprise and thought they might announce it there but it never happened. Halo anniversary was definatley my favorite thing of the show so far, although i have played and finished that game so I'm not really excited. Halo 4 also had a pretty "put together at the last minute" sort of trailer.
-On the xbox live things were ok, the youtube and bing services were good but overall i didnt really see anything I'd use. I have to say they should have announced the cloud saving feature, which they announced after, on stage, it was by far the best new feature they have. Minecraft was good too but does it really need kinect?

Overall, pretty disappointing but they seem to have a good enough christmas lineup to call this year a success and I suppose the kinect stuff was better than it could have been.

End of 2012 prediction:

xbox 360 : 73-75 million  playstation 3 : 72-74 million  wii : 104-105 million

Most hyped for :

Bioshock: infinte, The Last Of Us, Alan Wake's American Nightmare and Agent
