Forums - Nintendo - DSi to 3DS tansfers: Saves not allowed

So yes you can transer everything, except saves, mostly to prevent exploits from past hacks:

Your DSi Ware save data and DSi Points cannot be transferred over. Save data will be deleted from the original DSi/XL system along with the DSi Ware game.

That makes me mad! But I suppose their reasoning is reasonable.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

Meh, it's not like I spent a lot of time on my 2 DSiWare games. Also it means that if my Mum wishes to play Picopict, she will have to borrow my 3DS now.

Now I don't really know much about the 3DS... But why would those exploits be so bad? It's not like the 3DS has trophies/achievements, right? And I don't suppose it has online multiplayer for old titles either?

Reasonable enough.

Though it makes me wonder if they'll pull the same thing with moving saves from Wii to Cafe. Now that i would be opposed to.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

This worries me because there are a ton of exploits regarding saves for actual retail games on Wii... not just VC/WiiWare stuff...

I was really hoping to be able to move over everything, even GC saves.

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!
