for me its Android all the way for what it can offer & i hate Apple for being so manipulative in their prices & cocky as hell!!

I've been an iOS user for over 3 years now and it wont change for years to come.

Simple, Apps are great, and very slick. I love iPhones.

Also love Androids as well.

I'm very happy with my Mytouch 4g running android 2.3. All the things my friend had to jailbreak his phone and void his warranty to do I do without any type of modification.

Symbian first. Then Android, though it painfully reminds me of older WinMobile. Maemo, WebOS and Bada are on my radar too, since I don't feel Android is for me in the longer term.

Try Nokia E6 or older E72, just install Opera / Opera Mini as your browser, and navigation should be included already. E6 battery life is reallly excellent. Or you may also try any of Blackberry Bold line. Or just go cheep&dirty with Nokia C3 (featurephone as is but you may install Opera Mini there)

No need to root, jailbreak or any of that nonsense to get the most out of your phone. There doesn't need to be an app for that either as most of the functionality the majority of users want from a phone are there right out of the box. Full flash capable browser, email client, media player, gps mapping app, ability to load free ovi maps onto device for offline mapping... The only flaw is it only comes on one device but I even iike the device! I've multiboot Web OS, Android Froyo and Maemo T on this single device just for the hell of it.

 

Maemo is not on single device only, there is whole line of Maemo devices. It's just that it comes on only one phone (n900), while previous devices (n770/n800/n810) were tablets.

Btw, why the heck N900 is not getting any cheaper?

I got my first iPhone in 2008 I love iOS because of the Japanese language support that has enabled me to send and receive email and SMS/MMS to and from my friends in Japan^_^

also I love the Games support o iOS from top Japanese Game developers to^_^

this is a hard choice for me, i love both android and ios, they both do the job perfectly, but there is also stuff, they do better than each other.

i love the ios because of:
the variety of apps
the apps themselves don't look rough around the edges, like some do on android
the gaming protential here
safari and itunes are here
i perfer safari to androids internet
the sharpness of my ipod touch's screen
the os is presented in a quick and tidy way

but i also love android because:
it supports flash
it is very personal (as in customisible)
the features some android phones have like the portable wifi hotspot and gps.
the speakers in androids phones are louder.

however, the battery life in both operating systems is just pure crap.
anyway, i still want to get a windows phone 7 out, i like the fact that you can link to your xbox live account and earn achievements on the go. i also, like how the os is presented too, i think a wp7 might be my next phone.

Tried WP6.5 and it was absolute sh*t

Now on android and it's perfect. I love when OS are easily forgettable. I want stuff customizable and lighting fast.
I don't want Apple to tell me what soft I can have or not or the simple fact of being proprietary, so despite its known userfriendliness, it's a no-go for me
