I really wish this didn't have the XCOM name attached so I wouldn't have to boycott it on principal...

I would never boycott a good game, both the franchise and the developer have great pedigree and while I agree that the game is moving from its root, I don't have any reason to despise it base on just that. That being said, what I've seen hasn't been that impressive.

LOL and ppl keeps refusing to belive when we said these so called "console exclusives" on 360 mostly ends up getting a ps3 release down the road(look @ witcher 2 thread).

I personally would rather have Metro 2033 go multiplat, but this is cool too.

You know what would of been a better idea Re-releasing the original 2 games in HD. A bad idea is making a junk FPS, didn't they do one already and didn't it suck. Whats next a intercepter sequal cos thats obviously what the fans want.

I think it was because the devs had limited resource to do a ps3 version or something but hey atleast the next metro is confirmed for ps3 aswell.

16 years and no one has still understood what the fans want...a remake that doesn't try to be completely new game.

Guess I will still be playing the original from 1995, it's still the oldest game I play regularily.

Damn, that looks so cheap. I guess it will be linear as hell. This is XCOM only by name. It looks more like a HD revamped 1950 version of The Conduit.

Offtopic : If you want a nice tactical simultaneous turn based game, get Frozen Synapse on PC. Both SP and MP are awesome, and each game you buy you have another copy to give to a friend. Or a future enemy...

Never played the original(s?), so I'm definitely a blank slate when it comes to the series. Looks like it will be good from what I can tell.
