Forums - Nintendo - 3DS e-Shop launch details

With the virtual shop opening its doors next week (7th of June), Nintendo is sure to give us information about it. First up is Nitendo of Japan who has revealed the games and prices for its launch. Some of us made predictions about prices here and here (that I know of), let's see how they compare. Prices use the new Nintendo cards. Update: Both Nintnedo of America and Europe have given little updates on their respective updates, but no detailed information was given.

The Nintendo eShop is a digital store for Nintendo 3DS owners that provides access to a wide variety of downloadable content, such as original 3D software, classic games that have been re-mastered in 3D called 3D Classics, Game Boy and Game Boy Color “Virtual Console” games in their original 2D glory, and an extensive library of Nintendo DSiWare™ games. Visitors can also view videogame trailers, screenshots and product information for games, including those available at retail locations.

True, it slip by from andriasang, fixing.

Guessing they will be the same prices for America and Europe; 100 Yen = 1 Euro = 1 Dollar.

I believe that too, but the prices in real money leave space for promotions and discounts, which is obviously a good thing.

Is this why they are going for real currency instead of points? Have they stated it somewhere? Still think it's the same just a different way to call it, it depends on how you buy the points online (instead of the cards). Talking about discounts, I've been able to get point cards at half the price... so also got promotions that way :P

I'm interested if someone can explain the DSi to 3DS transfer?

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

More updates from official NoE and NoA press releases'

Both say that the free update will give them access to a variety of new content, including Pokédex™ 3D and Excitebike™ re-mastered in 3D (free download until July 7).

But NoE goes into it's Virtual Console saying they will be Game Boy games: Super Mario Land, Alleyway and Tennis. And that new content will be added to Nintendo eShop every Thursday.
