I have to ask...where the heck are those re-entries of titles like nintendogs etc that Source predicted? :S I think the source should use a different source..the one he is using now for the Japanese preview seemed to be HEAVILY 3Ds biased
Great start for OP! wonder if they would localize it, would be pretty sweet
Pandora's Tower is...well not sure...between meh and ok?
what is this Troy game? does anyone know? Dynasty Warriors Troy version?
and I'm VERY impressed with Patapon 3 sales..some nice legs there for the game

It's not the matter of sources but rather the mind processing information as same "errors" happened with Wii and DS in past.
Still as i said in comment below Japan preview no way 3DS is above Psp and no way there were One Piece shortages.
Nintendo is dead in Japan for now. If Sony can provide good software in early months of NGP release and secure next gen monster hunter there's real chance to conquer home market.

Right now Pokemon is still bigger than MH, and we're speaking of a Nintendo handheld...looking at the reasons why 3DS isn't selling (I saw them in another thread) the price will be a bigger problem for NGP and the reasons like "I'm happy with x system" will probably count more too, since the userbase is more similar to the one PSP is looking/selling at. We should just not think that a great predecessor means a great successor, even if I'm sure 3DS will do fine in the future with bigger games.

The PSP(and later NGP) vs DS (and 3DS), is that Nintendo has more than one aces in Japan.
Pokemon is just one of their Aces, with 2D mario being another, and variety of titles that reach 4 million like Animal Crossing DS and Mario Kart DS. I think people are setting themselves up for a NGP will win and will be greatly disappointed, namely when Nintendo is actually in a position to easily drop the price, due to low costs of the device.

This is obviously true, but the main problem for Nintendo is to enstablish their portable without having to cut the price or with the help of third parties. Of course they can just release a GB2, with Pokemon, Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Mario 2D and their bigger IPs to win the gen...what they're trying is to become more like Sony and Microsoft, without having to depend on first party only games (like it has been on DS and Wii, that's a fact).
I expected more push from one Piece...hopefully the 3DS'll be able to sell over 30k weekly for June, otherwise that would be a disappointment and a sign of something big needed for it.
