Syphon Filter would be the best choice business-wise for Sony...it would definatly sell well...i also would said that it can help PS3 in America but we all thought that too from games like Killzone,God Of War,MAG,Socom etc.

at least they should reboot the franchise maybe for PS4 to aim at the american market in the beginning!

And the best choice from my heart is Dark Cloud...i just sooo loved the series...i want a third title!!!!

^^At this point in the game, unless Sony can come up with the next nationwide/worldwide craze like Pokemon, there is no franchise that can really boost console sales.  I'm just an old school gamer (much older than the PS1 era, actually) that likes to see history live on.  There's so many franchises from the past that are totally forgotten or will never be seen again.  I'd like to see a few of the deserving ones get a second chance.

--And look at Legend of the DRagoon!!  Quite a come from behind victory, wouldn't you say?  I knew it was a fan favorite (I was a little disappointed with its story but it was fun and it looked good) but I never knew how big it was.  Maybe if Sony just pulled a "Lost Odyssey" and made a traditional old school RPG with very high production values, it could be the game we all wanted Final Fantasy 13 to be.

Medievil, NO QUESTION ABOUT IT!

(I'd say TLoD, but it's not a franchise!)

Medievil should be everyone's first choice dammit >:(

Fans demand Sir Dan back from the dead :D

there was a syphon filter on PSP this gen... but yeah that's 5 years ago. I played 1/3 of it, and quite liked it.

If i'm not mistaken, that series is close to MSG, and this is a type of shooter where there is little competition currently, so it would indeed be a smart choice. Plus the controls fit the consoles more than FPS (i'm a PC gamer sorry ^^).

otherwise, LoD is one of the games waiting on my shelf... bought it as one of the gems I missed of the gen so i'm confident it should be a good game for a 2.

Two, actually.  I only own the first one, though.  Still, there hasn't been a console one since the PS1 days (aside from the PS2 game where you don't even get to play as Logan!  WTF is up with that?).

For me Medievil, hell there's jizz in my pants everytime I think about a move controlled Sir Daniel Fortisque.  Legend of Dragoon second, it's been a long time since I played an amazing traditional turn based RPG (Hell Legend Dragoon is the last one I played, though I played it for the first time 2 years ago).  Syphon Filter got it's revival on the PSP.  Sort of same with Wild Arms.  Omega Boost is another one I'd like to see revived, though I don't think it'd do any kind of good sales wise right now.  Lastly, I know this isn't Sony, but I say Jersey Devil needs to be given a second chance.

well to be frank, they might now consider the series as a portable one... SF1 came as the preloaded PS1 game on my Xperia Play ^^
