Apparently, I don't know the definition of the word "Franchise". Sorry guys. :(
*edit*: Just looked up the definition of franchise. It said "5. films a film that is or has the potential to be part of a series and lends itself to merchandising". So, I guess if we replace the word "Film" with "Video game" and it looks like good ol' d21 was right, afterall!
Ashamed to say that I never got into these franchises, but I heard dark cloud was actually rather good.

Nice. Syphon Filter was the first thing that came to my mind when I read the thread title. Isn't it confirmed that Syphon Filter is in the works for ps3? I thought for sure it was...
LEGEND OF DRAGOON. It's kind of interesting how I ended up with this game, you see......nah, I won't bore you with the details. Let's just say it involved a thieving immigrant, a dirty baby, rain, and a broken bike.
EDIT: WIld Arms would also be great. I own almost every one and I haven't finished any of them.
I am the Playstation Avenger.

Glad Medievil is getting a good mention. Especially the first game in the series was very quirky and interesting.
