Shinobi will be making a return to Nintendo 3DS. Yes, Shinobi is one of two Sega games to be confirmed in the latest issue of Nintendo Power.
While Sonic Generations 3DS is the cover game, Shinobi is listed as a classic revival. This reveal comes a day news leaked that a Shinobi game could be in the works for 3DS.
So for those who have never played a Shinobi game before, what's it all about? Well, you can find out by downloading the original arcade game now on Virtual Console.

Originally released in 1987, it starred a ninja named Joe Musashi who has to stop a criminal organization called Zeed.
They're kidnapping the children of the Oboro clan and so Musashi must make his way to Zeed's headquarters and free all the hostages before confronting Zeed's leaders who are known as Ring of Five.
Joe can use shuriken to take out enemies from distance as he runs and jumps around the five stages. He can also punch and kick and use ninja magic.
Shinobi was revived in 2002 for PlayStation 2 and was followed up by Nightshade in 2004. So, if it were to be released this year, Shinobi 3DS will be the first game in the series for seven years.

I played my cousin's copy of the Revenge of Shinobi so much when I was around about 9 or 10. If this is good, this will be can almost certain purchase by me.
