Edit: Just read the above post. I would prefer a more serious news section. To be informative.

But doesn't that just become "copy paste" news rather than adding something to it?

It also stops all the annoying people in the comments calling the writer bias when they don't appreciate a writer's comment

On topic: I think there should be specific moderaters for the comment section or at least a report button. I remember one news piece that turned really bad in the comment section and no one was modded(that I could see). Even after I reported it on a mod's wall.

And I too would like more serious articles.

Edit: nvm, seems Torrilian jumped in after I stopped paying attention to the story

Sig thanks to Saber! :D

*waits for similar gamerconnect thread*

How come when I click on Nintendo under gamrFeed that it brings up news articles that aren't even related to Nintendo?  The first article is about Konami E3, then the next article Media Create: DQ Monsters has a little to do with Nintendo, the third article is about L.A. Noire, then Angry Birds, and so on.  So the only article in the first 5 that has anything to do remotely about Nintendo would be the Media Create one which lists sales for DS, 3DS, Wii etc....

Try to seperate news and author opinion. In most news articles, the author puts a few lines of his/her opinion, which most people find totally irrelevant. You have the editorials for that. Keep the news as objective and bias-free as possible.

Also, a post-edit function would be nice, as well as being able to check back your comments via your profile.

I like the lay-out of Gamerfeed though, it's much better than the other VGchartz subsites.

I'll be brutally honest (because I love this site and want the best for it) but Gamrfeed feels dead to me. It's like it has no soul or life at all, the news is slow and I get it way before on N4G, the colour scheme is uninviting, and it just feels so seperated from the rest of the site.

Just some ideas on what I would do, firstly revamp the site, lighter colour scheme, important news along the top in a banner style similar to other sites, and just ... give Gamrfeed its own identity.

I'd concentrate more on quality than quantity, we have some amazing writers here and original peices nearly always get my attention. I don't really read the news peices though, they're well written but have no personality or charisma, so I'm not going to read it on N4G and then again on Gamrfeed unless I get a different (and interesting) take on it.

Hope whatever changes happen work out though, the other 3 sites are perfect.

Edit - Haha just saw, we already have the big news at the top on a banner, it doesn't stand out at all though!!

Comments on your user profile are coming with enormous gamrConnect update in just under 2 weeks...

Good to hear!

A new banning system.

- Have the possibility to ban people from subforums.  Some people are great posters but when they in the Sony or Nintendo or MS or Off topic section they easy go overboard, so I think mods should be stricter and have the ability to ban someone from an subforum. You can give them longer bans for the subforum but they have still the ability to post on the other subforums.

Why whould that be better?  Half of the people who gets banned comes back with an alternate account. (in the past we had a lot of those) and come back worse....if banned from an subforum those people will less likely make an alternate account and considering they are banned from an subforum the forums would improve..

Edit: I guess I posted in the wrong thread XW_X?

- There needs to be an editor who coordinates everyone posting news to maintain a cohesive reporting structure and who makes rules and guidelines for everyone. There are lots of people posting news there, and they follow different guidelines for it, mostly whatever they think is appropriate, but sometimes really isn't.

The weird thing is, we actually have that :-/

Kick him out, he's not doing his job.

If you have a problem with something specific that someone is doing, rather than just generally being terrible, send them a PM.

If they don't listen, then contact the head of gamrFeed. His username is CaptainHavok.

Please point me to the news outlet which posts completely unbiased news containing no opinions whatsoever on the subject matter.
