It's a lifestyle choice, really do get riled up when people say that they were "born" that way. Am not born to like anime, or orange juice so it really annoys me when people say that.

So what you're kind of saying is that being heterosexual is also a lifestyle choice?

Why not? I think it is more common since there is social acceptance, but if things played out different I won't be suprised.

whether  someone born this way or not the sure is that society will make him feel GUILTY

That 's the whole point

even the fact that a thread like this exists

what is gay ? some kind of science fiction craziness that needs analyzing ?

Well, I think society's obsession with homosexuality is just normal human behaviour. We're quizzical beings, and when there's something new, or different, we like to explore it, and understand. Obviously, with things like sexuality, science still hasn't got to the point of understanding, and, as such, there are multiple points of view on causality. Naturally, people pick one, and then stick with it.

I'm pretty much of the opinion that once science fully understands sexuality, there won't be as much discussion on it, as there will be a right or wrong answer. The reason why people debate sexuality and stuff, isn't really about the sexuality, so to speak, more about being right (well, that's my take).

I'm sure if we didn't understand the links between the strength of the side of the brain, and which hand you are, it would also be a fairly strongly debated area.

Actually, studies show that a large portion of your tastes for food and drink are inherited. Makes sense from an evolutionary standpoint, as it's generally the stuff that makes you live longer that tastes nice. So, the early ancestors who ate well, and lived longer, were able to pass their dietary habits onto their offspring.

Obviously, this doesn't really work, anymore. Who knows, over time, we might see shifts in tastes away from high fat and high sugars, as its the eating of these things that mainly cause stunts in life expectancy (also, I imagine that people who eat healthier tend to have more offspring - more attractive, greater libido, more fertile, etc).

Like we've passed on the idea that being "gay" was immoral but that has been changing wider acceptance has allowed people to express themselves the way they want.

Interesting study nonetheless.

Would like to hear Seece's and Axumblade's opinion on this.

You just decided you liked orange juice? And why was that, maybe because it tastes good? People have different tastes

Like people either like mantle or vag it depends on people's preference.

My brother loves peanut butter, but I absolutely hate it from the texture to taste.

Exactly, and I hate the texture and the taste of cock.

Being gay isn't 'nature' - because the whole point of sex/attraction is reproduction obviously and support for the young.

It's anti-nature. I know that makes being gay sound like a bad thing, and its not, but thats the way it is.

Anyway I believe its choice. All males are born to enjoy stimulation of the penis; the choice is whether the stimulation is done by a female's front, or another dude's rear end. You chose which is more aesthetically pleasing to you.

If it's anti-nature, then why is it observed in nature (animals doing it and all).

Your first paragraph is a misconception. Your 3rd paragraph show's you have no ideea what sexual orientation implies.

Yes, and you didn't choose to hate peanut butter, did you? So I think this is more a thing that is genetic.

My whole family can atleast tolerate it, while I can't so your point is?

You can't pick your emotions... "today I'll deicde to be attracted to men for a change". There is no choice involved whatsoever. In fact, we have little control over most things in life.

Your environment shapes your emotions to a very large extent. You develop schema of what is attractive, and then males or females will fulfill this attractive criteria better for you.

If this were true, then there would be no homosexuals (actually, there would be no individuality, or behavioral differences between people for that matter).
