The fact that 3DS is most undoubtedly d0med doesn't necessarily imply that the whole console gaming be d0med too.

PC gaming is dying?

Console gaming is dying?

Someone actually argued cloud gaming will replace physical purcahsing when the majority of software is still purcahsed from stores?

3DS is doomed is not a fact.  However, say it were.  That wouldn't mean that console gaming would be doomed.  It would possibly mark the high point of console gaming being now.  But console gaming would look to continue to have a niche to it.

the 8th generation will consisted sony vs nintendo will be the final war when microsoft will lose a lot of money with 720 and it will doomed microsoft software market so it will be wised to quit the home gaming console or make family media console instead like kinect, but i know who will win the home gaming console, it will be the one who started all or the one has the brand popularity, but the handheld is on apple side for now with a huge selection and excellent market strategy with iphone and ipad but that will be the begining of wireless handheld devices while the home console will die down in 15 yrs.

It will be fun to see, 30 years from now, that consoles still are around. And saddly, there will still be articles like those.

Above: still the best game of the year.

I looked into OnLive a little bit more. I've never tried the service myself but it looks pretty sweet on paper. Pre-order the Duke Nukem Forever game and get the console controller for free. And if you subscribe to their $10/month PlayPack bundle you get unlimited play of 50 games (mainly older releases ie. Borderlands) for free. But then there's the bandwidth issue. So as long as North American ISPs insist on being bandwidth nazis though (especially here in Canada), cloud gaming isn't going to take off though. And then imagine being locked out of your games completely for 23 days (OnLive is purely online after all, at least you can play offline with a PS3) and having your info compromised (like I said though, this is pretty much the nature of the beast these days. E-commerce is risky business and to be quite honest there's no way I'm giving up online shopping cold turkey. I can't give up Amazon and PayPal and there's no point in me driving to a store wasting precious gas when I can order online and get free shipping.)

all i want in 5 years is something to play on a hd console made by sony with a sleek controller and graphics that will make me wow

Probably off topic, Why is this channel so popular? Is full of closed minded right whiners with barely any news at all.

Magic?

What makes you think even Sony will hang around here either?  Nintendo is about the only constant here, because this is all they do.  Sony and Microsoft could pull out, but it is going to be tough seeing them pull out of the market completely, since they are now leading in the American market.
