Of curse, or some special treatments for the publisher, like free advertising and such

LA Noire and Dead Space 2 I'd say yes they paid something or did some deal or another.

Mortal Kombat and Portal 2 I think it's unlikely.  Kratos was just a great guest character for MK and MS would have had everything Sony had for Portal 2 if they let Steam work on the 360.  Since they don't, they don't.

Sony pays mostly for EA games, Microsoft for Call of Duty and Fallout games.

Because they are moneyhatting!!!

i agree, but im not sure about LA Noire. because it was once a ps3 exclusive, maybe they did it as some compensation.

maybe paid a little.

also dead space 2 with extraction was probably paid for, but extraction made sense for ps3, becuase of the move, they also put exctraction separately on psn, to sell for profit. so i dont know.

but a game like Medal of Honor was definitely paid for no doubt

Yeah but I just don't feel like EA would go back and port Dead Space Extraction for Move to include it for free with Dead Space 2 without a little incentive.  If they were selling it separate I'd agree but putting extra work in to give something away for free that only goes to one console just seems obviously like it was paid work to me.  Even ports take effort and it seems weird to put that effor in to just one console for no reason.
