For this year I'd want Zelda to finally release (thought it was going to happen during Q1), more WiiWare games like Line Attack Heroes (it's been horrible in EU lately). Then TraumaTeam to finally come to Europe (passing the standard one year delay in four days), with Pikmin 3 thrown in for Xmas and Zelda 25th Pack slotted somewhere. Add some new stuff in there and it will be good.

Well, Xenoblade is confirmed to come to Europe, so North America shouldn't be far off. |
Freaking hope so >.< Hell even Australia is getting it.
He claims there are more surprises for the Wii and then goes on to talk a load of shit. He could only mention one good game. I'm sorry, but sequels to poor party games like Wii Play and a Wii bundled with Mario Kart is not a "surprise".

Don't even joke about that kind of stuff, you cruel, cruel man...

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!

Your opinion of what games are worthile is only valid if he was talking only to you instea of other people. Plus he wasn't claiming those were the surprises.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Well I didn't expect him to just say what these surprises are, that would defeat the whole point of it being a surprise. But he didn't elaborate on it, he just changed the subject onto the only big title left for the Wii, Zelda, and then started talking about Mario Kart bundles as if they were something special.
He said "there are plenty more surprises in store for [Wii]" but failed to give enough detail, probably because he knows that there really aren't any more "surprises" for the Wii and all their attention will be moved to Project Cafe.
EDIT: And I know it is a matter of opinion when it comes to casual games, but I highly doubt casual gamers would be reading that article right now.

so in short, Mr. Lowe was simply buying time for his company since no matter how much we debate this issue the bottom line is still "wait for e3". Gotta respect the power of good PR

The answer to your (rhetorical?
) question is in the question itself.

I'd say 90 minutes is likely.
You know, 35 for Wii, 5-10 for DS, 40-45 for 3DS and 10 minutes for Cafe. I don't think we'll hear much at all about cafe. A talk, a trailer, some games, developer reactions and that will be the lot.
OT: Well, if we have 3 surprise games at E3 this year, as well as Zelda, TLS, Xenoblade, Pikmin 3 and Pandora's Tower and Kirby, then next year we have 4 surprise games, Dragon quest X, Nintendo-published Tales Of Graces (Wishful thinking, yes) and Vitality sensor, as well as whatever 3rd parties have left, I'd say things suddenly don't look so bad for Nintendo. Not great, no, but comparable to, say, the 360 line-up. Enough to keep it alive and in 1st over the holidays anyway.
The whole 'emerging market' worries me though. I hope we get more Galaxies and Zeldas and Metriods and Monster hunters and Xenoblades insteead of Wii___ games and Zumba Fitness...
It's just a few weeks away. Let's wait and see what Nintendo have left.
