It's been $169.99 in just about any store you walk into (which is a $30.00 sale - essentially a price cut). for 2-3 weeks now. Official or not, it's been under $199.99 now for a couple of weeks. However, I didn't say it's doing low numbers despite a price cut, I was actually hinting to him that the full cut has yet to happen and all regions haven't seen even the $30.00 sale. In essence the $150 price cut hasn't happened yet, no, but I didn't say that it had. So relax.

Not really...you said that it has happened in America but not in Japan or Others yet...which is wrong. I was just correcting you but if you knew it already then I guess there is no correcting to be done...Good day.

PSN being down still seems to have a minimal effect overall, but the numbers are getting low all around. After inFAMOUS 2, nothing will spike until at least Sept time.

I hate to be "that guy" but after all the retailer articles and news and hearing plenty of anecdotal evidence around my parts as well, I have a feeling there will be adjustments to PS3 sales soon. Maybe after May NPD.

Remember how big the world is. A few people skipping out on systems/trading in systems will have just that; a minimal effect on the overall big picture.

Sure, you could be right, but I doubt they'll be any notable adjustment. I think people really want the system regardless, it's got a healthy enough library of games and many people don't have/care about online anyway.

It's gonnna be so crazy when the PS3 drops to $200. It will be the most effective price cut out of all 3 consoles in terms of HW boosts.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

Pretty much as expected really.

Will the Wii price-cut come into affect in next week's data, or the week after?

Likely the week after.

So it's possible Wii will be below 100k this week, oonce and for all pleasing Nintendogamer. That's...unsettling.

I expect Wii to be nudging 200k a week when the price-cut occurs though. And my god do they need some good news...

I worded it carefully as to hint that nothing universal has happened yet. Yes, a $30.00 price reduction is a price cut, but not THE price cut (and only took place in America), but there was no intention to claim the numbers are low despite a price cut.

We can pointlessly argue semantics all day, but I know what I meant and unless you're a mind reader, you just misunderstood me. So be it, not a big deal. Perhaps I could have worded it better, I'll admit that, but I know I meant it (and hopefully now you do too).

No, its fine we are never on the same page or understand each other LOL...its cool.

Yeah, once the full $50 cut happens, I think it should increase for at least a few weeks to a month by 50-60K WW. It'll probably need some software to help cushion the cut wear off point, however.

Yep, but by that point we'll hopefully have either Zelda, Xenoblade or some other game. And Pandora's Tower is launching in Japan soon, that'll hopefully soften the decrease over there as well. I don't think we'll see a sub-10k week over there (after this next one) for some time, and I expect the next week to be the only one to be below 100k.

Black Ops ps3 about to hit 10mil next week...impressive

I wonder what kind of effect Cafe may have (if there's any notable one at all).

I think it's too early to worry about Cafe. It's still at least 15 months away, and there's plenty of Wii titles on the horizon to look forward to (and likely more from E3). The price cut will help the Wii, as will its holiday sales. Nintendo shouldn't be worried. Well, maybe just a tiny little bit...
