360 hasnt pumped out high profile game in months yet its still able to pull these crazy numbers but for how long though?

laughing out loud

it still had multis bulletstorm portal crysis MK and even COD BO and lets not forget these are just US numbers its like me saying PS3 is pulling crazy numbers in JP w/o any notable releases in months... lol

for how long though? if they dont do anything with price in about 30 days YOY growths will be a thing of the past

i wanna see 360 beat 450k for june, 444k for july, 357k for august and 484k for sept

Keep laughing because system as old as the 360 to still pull these kind of numbers is still impressive in one region or not and those games you listed arent exactly what i would called system sellers especially comparison to what Sony has been pumping out lately or maybe i should have made my self clearer before upsetting some of you? ah well.

im gonna be laughing harder end of the year when numbers become more final and the 2011 sales champ gets crown.  i havent seen many comments about sony games pushing consoles this year the only 2 games i could think of would be lpb and KZ which were sequels, most people knew that those games wouldnt match there hype or console pushness of there first entries.  i and other hardcore sales analyst would agree that fresh new games to the scene like crysis bulletstorm portal would push more especially in US and throw in COD timed exclusive map packs

it doesnt matter if the system is older its not the weakest its not like ps1 or ps2 days where the sony consoles were the weakest the 360 can run any mult most of the time better than the ps3 most big selling games now are multi and its exclusive imo arent far off

360: 1,646
PS3: 1,240 (going by the report PS3 did 365k last month)
Wii: 1,236

PS3 ahead of Wii for the year by 4k!!

VGChartz Americas numbers for the Year -

360 - 1,887,831
Wii - 1,531,569
PS3 - 1,398,268

So according to VGC...

360 has sold ~249k outside of the US for the Year?
Wii has sold ~295k outside of the US for the Year?
PS3 has sold ~158k outside of the US for the Year?

what an awful result for the 3DS. I knew Nintendo was heading to a PS3-Sony here.

damn its today

wow PS3 up from last year even with PSN issues

Nintendogamer is one of my favorite posters on here i lol reading that stuffed up there

PSN issues didn't happen till the end of the month so I wouldn't really count that as a factore. May will probably be a better indicator.

i believe PSN was down for nearly half of april

seeing that theres no real big impact for april i doubt May will be much different for all we know half of May could have PSN online, there are still other things you can do with a PS3 besides online gaming some of PS3s best games have no online or not used as much like heavy rain, infamous, god of war, MGS4, Uncharted series

last may ps3 was at 150k so i believe it will still be up YOY

Yea, PSN was down for nearly 2 weeks in April.  And probably will be down for 2-3 weeks in May.  People just can't seem to handle that the PS3 is still doing just fine, even with the outage, thinking it would/should have harmed the PS3 greatly in sales.  But we both know that PS3 will still be up YOY in May.

Actually it's trending down so it's nowhere near a certainty it'll be up yoy, it's only up YoY this month by 22k, last month it was up over 50k.

If it is down though it won't be by much

look up seece... ive already looked up at the sky and saw... LA NOIRE yeah! fresh new game arriving at the scene doesnt even need online...

Who isn't handling anything?

Anyway the Xbox 360 was down 14% and the PS3 was down 30%. Considering the PSN was up for 3/5ths of April a 16% point difference between the Xbox 360 and PS3 representing 12 days of service outage in a month is actually a noticeable change. The PS3 isn't doing fine regardless of PSN and the publicity.

Using the .87 factor for the US, the numbers should be...

360 - 1892k almost dead on
Wii - 1420k about 90k overtracked
PS3 - 1425k pretty close

That is of course assuming the sales trends are identical across north and south America.

I know that in the majority of South America it's supposed to be Sony land...

Canada, I have no idea.

Mexico... Again, no idea.

Our numbers look odd though. Wii seems too high, PS3 seems too low. I might be wrong though...

It's up YoY.

It's doing fine.

YoY is just one metric.
