Help me create an List of games that must be played that are:

1. Is avaiable on Current consoles/PC (eg. Must be able to be played on PS3, 360, Wii or PC)

2. Is Single Player Focused (Multiplayer has its issues of no one playing etc) 

3. An is not an Sequel! 

Help create an List of games Gamers should collect and should Play if they want an good expereince. Also when suggesting your game, give it platform/s, its release date, genre and 1 line on who would like it. 

The Purpose of this thread is that, I like my games, but being an younger brother never really got to choose my own games until late 2008 when i finally saved up for an PS3 where i wasn't rich enough to afford many games! but since last year i have been trying to play as many great single player games as i can. An i believe that there are many gamesrs in my boat looking for those great expereinces they might not know about.

I would say MAG, but you said it has to be single player centered, and that is perhaps MAG's biggest problem.

just from the top of my head

ps3: heavy rain, uncharted, infamous, little big planet, demons souls, 3d dot game heroes, valkyria chronicles, and you could count the sly collection and god of war collection since they are not sequels to previous collections.

xbox 360: alan wake, gears of war(i think this may have been ported to pc, not entirely sure though)

wii: wii sports

EDIT: i thought i read they had to be exclusive too but i guess not, in that case ill add nier, assassins creed, darksiders, bayonetta, heavenly sword (even though that is a ps3 exclusive i just thought of it now), eternal sonata, resonance of fate, and dragon age.  that should be plenty of pretty good single player games to get you started for your ps3.

i played MAG for the first few months, great concept but should of been executed better with, ability to take maps, more dyamic battlefeilds (sabotage, aquisition and supression all on one domination map would be awesome). 

Also I am going to get: Half life 1 and play it this friday night inbetween some high amounts of work for uni that wont let me out so an late night secession would do. I also heard Bioshock is good, and Deus Ex is good as well. I dont know about JRPGS tho, I never got into turned based games but i am getting into some more Western RPGs so maybe. 

can it be a sequel if no knowledge whatsoever of the previous game is required?

i guess that could be allowed, i said no sequal because it should be an self contained story that anyone can get into. 

I should of mentioned in the OP that it should be an game that has no anti climatic ending that builds up for an sequel.

I figured that's what you meant but wanted to make sure.

With that taken care of I'd like to recommend the following games:

• Endless Ocean 2 (Wii) - I still consider this to be a contender for best game of the generation for me.
• Okami (Wii)
• Little King's Story (Wii)
• Metroid Prime Trilogy (Wii) - 60 to 100 hrs of single player bliss. (Metroid: Other M is also very cool but different)
• If you haven't played a Resident Evil game yet, then play 4 (the Wii edition is best) or 5 on HD consoles. Haven't played 5 myself but 4 requires no previous knowledge of the series and is GREAT!
• If you haven't played Majora's Mask it is an amazing game with a very unique story element to it. (available on virtual console)
• Fragile Dreams (Wii) isn't the strongest game in the world when it comes to gameplay but the story is so masterfully executed it's worth it for that alone.

I could go on but I imagine you are mostly interested in games with an interesting story, which is why I'm not mentioning the likes of Mario Galaxy 2 or other games without story.
Also, in case it isn't obvious by now, I'm a Wii only owner
