theres rumors of them adding cross game chat but the feature i hope they really add is the ability to turn a sub-account into a master account.

i created my account as a sub-account and now im stuck with it. WTF.

cross-game chat is the highest voted feature on playstation blog share so i think they must have been looking into that for a long time.

sub-account promotion to master account however doesnt have that many votes =(

I just hope enough people complained about it to make it important.

also the OP mentioned something about guest accounts being possible.....

i hope the improvements do exceed just security and hopefully thats whats taking them so long.

What cant you do with a sub-acc? you have to go to ps-store with master? same friendlist? I dont know! thx

before i was 18, there would be restrictions on things like spending on the store but now im nearly 21 and that doesnt even apply so i dont understand why it still has to be a sub-account...its just annoying.

and once in a while you have to get e-mails about validation on the master account if you want the sub account to do stuff. last time i got one was when i wanted to check my trophies on the playstation site. im assuming i will get another one when PSN is back up to change password.

instead of that i hope they just offer me the option to upgrade to a master account....then i can also create sub-accounts using my same e-mail.

I'd actually welcome the ability to change screen names in addition to this.

I am kind of disappointed that the PSN Store isn't going to be up until the end of the month though. Security first, but hey; don't they want our money?

From what I can tell, your billing information is tied to your master account for the purpose of buying content through PSN.

Seeing as how I never tried to add billing info to any of my sub accounts, I can't confirm that. I just know that any time I wanted to add funds to be used by a sub account, it had to be added through the master.

Friend lists are completely unrelated. Any friends you have one one account (sub or master) are for that account only.

Joking aside what does not kill you makes you stronger and that will certainly be the case for Sony. Which will be good for Sony in the long run and gamers. Of course any excuse to get a decent professional email address is a good one now if only they could change some of the nicks whilst they were at it...
