how the hell can you 'currently' play some many games?

simple, one level at a time.

Great answer! +10 for ssj12.

I still fail to see why most people answer these kinds of threads. This is so obviously flamebait, you can see it from (cyber) space.

With that being said... can sum1 plz xplane y ppl have 2 type liek they r 12?

I have to say I pretty much agree with most of what you guys have said.

In short the reasons for buying a Wii come from numerous areas. For some its an economic choice, for some its to supplement their HD console, and for others its the first time they have ever found gaming appealing. There are of course many reasons but the fact that there are so many reasons combined with the "ripe for change" status of the market makes the Wii a hot commodity.

Also, as for the average age of the Wii user, I don't think the average is a very good indicator, I would be much more interested in the median age.

Well, average could be mean, median or mode, so I was kinda wondering which average they were talking about.

As for the direct topic, in my experience, the current price along with a lack of personally wanted games is keeping people from picking them up currently. Could be no interest on their part for the types of games or just feeling they aren't improved enough as others said. If I have enough spending money after I'm done with my study abroad, I'll have to see which has the most games I'm interested in at the time. I don't want to have to pay extra to ship a console.

I can also understand how you can be playing that many games, ssj12. I often start many games and end up "playing" them over a year or so. Off and on. Dunno if you mean the same, but I can understand doing it.

If it passes 20,000,000 and is still selling at its high rate I am confused.

Leo-j get reasonable, for once. You think that in a year with WiiFit, Mario Kart, SSBB, Monster Hunter 3, WiiWare, Tales of Symphonia 2, etc Wii will halt at 20million?!

It will EXPLODE!

people have said it many times here already, it's the casual market, Nintendo just tapped into a gold mine with them.

Different terminology I suppose, its always been used to denote the mean in my experience, but I know different parts of the country/world etc... use different terminology so wouldn't surprise me.

In any case, I definitely think mode is also more interesting than mean but median is the one I would be most interested in personally.

ps3 games in 2008:

- mgs4

- killzone 2

- gta iv

- haze

- resistence 2

- devil may cry 4

- gran turismo 5

Anyone notice anything odd with that list of ps3 games for 2008? 6 out of the 7 games are sequels, the wii has a lot of new blood in terms of its games such as no more heroes, maybe that could be a reason why. But I have a lot of fresh games on my PS3 so maybe not.

Besides, the wii has NO GAMES AT ALL that attract the Hardcore, All of there games attract mainly 13 year olds or smaller. Except MP3(which still has not sold 1 M).

My theory is that kids want the wii, the hardcore and older teens despise and dont want it. I know because Im in high school, and only an idiot would get a wii over a 360.

you are the biggest sony fanboy and i've lost respect for you with that comment! how can you say that the wii has no games that appeal to the hardcore? (RE4, UC, SMG, MP3, ZELDA:TP!! and many more in 08!) i can't believe what you just said! (someone will get you for this!) p.s.- i have all 4 consoles!! (including a ps2!) if i said that ps3 games sell terrible, which they are except for AC and COD4, then i bet you would go to war!!

I too, have just lost all respect for leo-j. The average Wii owner is I believe 39 years old. (can someone check if that was it, Nintendo said something about the average age).

Also, daactualfact, you forgot SSBB.

Easy answer... ITS MORE FUN TO PLAY WITH YOUR Wii and someone else playing with your Wii together. Downloading my Oldschool favorites through VC channel and suffing the web through my Opera Browser. The site www.wiisquid.com will show the way to all things Wii.

The wii is selling on hype for the most part, its the new ipod, i was watching my buddy play Mario galaxy last night and the game is ugly as hell, it has jaggies out the ass. Plus there is no voice work, talk about a game stuck in the 90's. I never even wanted to play the game it was so ugly to look at, Zeldat:TP on the GC looked alot better, maybe i will have more fun with wii sports today.
