It's simple, not everybody seems to agree with you. Your opinion is not fact.

fact? i think you need to read my question again buddy

i didnt say the xbox 360 n ps3 games are better but i did list them n that means in 2007 n 2008 it has a hell of list of games.

Okay I'll put it this way then. It's probably a lot to do with price tag and marketing. Wii's Marketed towards casuals and some core PS3 is pretty much targeted to videophiles and core which overlap a LOT 360 is basically marketed to Core. Average person doesn't care about high def much yet, and from charts I've seen a lot of people who own a wii at this point seem to be core Nintendo crowd because there's a good level of HDTV use in there. Mario, Metroid, Wario, Wii XXXX(fill in here) seem to be more attractive to the general populous than Motorstorm, Resistance, Assassins Creed, fight night3, Bioshock or Gears of War...

leo, the average age of a wii owner is 29

so your theory is wrong

the average gamer from the alst poll was 33. You have to factor in all the parents and grandparents and retirement homes that made new gamers out of 80 year olds. The average ageas of now has to be above 40 at least.

The average console gamer however is much lower. Around the late teens early 20's demographic.

Notice how Leo-J and Griffin have both completely ignored the post which sits as perfect proof that the Wii can be and IS a wonderful console for supposed 'hardcore' gamers and went on to post further absolute rubbish,

And honestly, people question why Sony fanboys get so much stick this generation, they've brought it on themselves for the last 10 years.

Really, grow up.

The whole 'Wii is not hardcore' argument has been proven to be bollocks time and time again.

The whole 'Wii is for kids' argument has been proven to be bollocks time and time again.

The whole '3rd party missing' argument has been proven to be bollocks time and time again.

And of course, the whole 'Wii is a fad' argument is just... well you get the idea.

I've owned my Wii for less than a year now and have bought in total 10 games for it, so 11 titles (including Wii Sports) which have all been generally well received by the public and critics (I won't bother listing them, they're on my profile) is simply brilliant for a year. That's not including either the other titles that people can easily recommend as well.

I do have respect for people's opinions, but alot of what has been posted by those two in particular IS just plain wrong. FACT.

I have some ideas about its success .

Its supercasual and seems accesible ,so the guy in the street that hasnt played a game ever can be attracted to it.

Its cheap enough to fall into the "compulsive buy " department .

Nintendo marketing has been very successfull mirroring Apple .They have designed their machines in the Apple mould and have marketed them just the same .

Theres tons of soccer moms ,jubilees ,kiddies ,girlies that just enjoyed Nintendogs and Brain Training and want to try the home version ,parents that just want to buy a seemingly inofensive toy to the children without the terrible Playstation/X360 killing games .

The Wiimote may be a gimmick and control worse than traditional pads but marketing-wise it allows the console to diferentiate itself and seemingly offer something the others cant .Later the sad user finds the wiimote doesnt track most of your movements and its all a preprogrammed routine that is unleashed with some move ,and that in some games the wiimote in fact plays worse due to less input buttons and only one analogue stick ....but when he discovers that he has already bought the machine and contributed to the Wii success nonetheless. The casuals never come to realize it controls worse...

The loyal (nearly fanatic ) following of Nintendo fans .WHen Nintendo churned out good machines that sold not so great Nintendo fans insisted the important was that the machines were the best and had great lineups .Now that they have a very weak machine hardware wise and the worst lineup of the generation they seem even happier just becasue its selling the most .Anything that Nintendo says will be accepted by them with joy ,and with such a following its normal the machine would have a fantastic first year .

Wii is just a party machine.

Pachter says…

Nintendo milks profit due to inferior hardware!

Gamecube started well at first too…

Wii is a fad!

LOL minigames!!1!

PS3 is on a ten year plan.

Wii is two Gamecube systems put together by duct tape!

Argh!!! Non-games!!!1!!!

Wii-mote is a gimmick.

Stupid casual gamers!

Only Nintendo games sell on Nintendo systems.

When HD adoption rate goes up, Wii is finished.

Who cares about Wii sales? All the real games are on PS60!

Where are the third parties? LOL!

VC is overpriced rom dump!

What happens when people get bored of Wii Sports?

You don't managed to get a single line, you all fail at life.

I remember the times when videogames where for having fun, not for watching. Good times.

The Wii is hundreds of dollars, cheaper, than the Xbox 360, and Playstation 3, its motion sensing capabilities greatly differ gaming than ever before, it has the greatest Mario game, or perhaps even, the greatest game of all time; Super Mario Galaxy, it has Metroid Prime 3, Twilight Princess, and many other, awesome games, the console itself looks like it was made by Apple, and that's awesome, it has free Internet, and it's made by Nintendo! Playstation 3, and Xbox 360, are kind of the same as the Playstation 2, and Xbox, but more expensive, and a boost in the graphics. But, at the end, they all kick ass anyways.

I wish I made enough money where $250 was a compulsive buy, although I would probably just end up buying a new ipod for every day of the week (which seems wasteful) ... A good way to think of the pricing of a console is to multiply their price by 100 and think of them as cars; a $25,000 is affordable (with a little stretching) for most families, whereas a $50,000 car is a luxury item most families have no desire to own.

Beyond that your post follows the same Sony fanboy BS you've been spouting for a year now, you become more and more bitter every month when it becomes clear that there is no magical comeback for the PS3.

Actually I can't and I don't have the slightest clue as to why the wii outsells 360 & ps3.
