I see no demands... i see opinions and suggestions... but no demands.

And i'm really not worried about this. You guys are saying they knew about this for over a week when sony said they were investigating what caused it. then they admitted it was an external intrusin. then they said information might have been lifted. Sounds like within their information investigation they learned facts and released the info they had on it

This sounds like what congress does.  Whenever an issue breaks out, some congressperson will end up grandstanding and looking like a champion of this group and that, and then will seek to have some hearings where they will "get to the bottom of things".  I guess this is done to make the people feel they can do wonders.

Awaiting congress to fix the security leaks and also catch the guys who did it.  Need individuals who will call the Internet a "series of tubes" to get to the bottom of things.

The whole "Series of tubes" comment isn't really that far off.

Neither is the "Al Gore invented the internet" comment.

Goood ting everyone harps on that one though or Al Gore might try and go Patent Trolling.

Also, Sony says they didn't realize shit had got that bad until Modnay

This is why I don't put my credit card number on a game system. I dont trust the security.

Just gone through changing a lot of detail and I am NOT amused of being notified nearly 1 week later over the identity theft. This is especially appalling as credit card details are involved.

it doesnt matter the evidence was there that it COULD be that bad, thus should have let people know. They knew it was hacked... from day one. There is no excuses in this.

No, he jumped on the Xbox bandwagon when Live got integration with the Twitters.

Why cause 50 to 75 million users to enter a state of panic if it wasnt that bad? You need to evaluate the situation before releasing info like this.

Ted to the rescue!!!

Ted has gone on, but individuals like him happen to remain in congress, who don't really understand the issues, but feel they need to meddle.  Like, the entire, "Let's give the president a killswitch for the Internet" thing.  Individuals in congress who have no clue as to what the Internet is, and how it was built to not be able to be shutdown, think that somehow cyberterrorism is such that companies CAN'T take their networks offline if they had to, the way Sony has done.  So, give the president a killswitch, so that he can stop Chinese hackers.  They think like this.

As far as another post, "Ted wasn't too far off..." here is the techno-remix of his speech:

They will do stuff like ban gambling on the Internet AND opposed net neutrality legistlation.

"Not a big truck" and "Your own personal Internet" (delivered to him) ... gotcha...

And here is the original Ted Stevens speech: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f99PcP0aFNE

Daily Show on this: http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/wed-july-12-2006/headlines---internet

http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/wed-july-12-2006/party-pooper

The reality is that people who don't know end up meddling.

When it comes to privacy it is there responsibility to let people know, this is fact. This is why people are getting angry
