Nintendo has been at odds with hardcore gamers for god knows how long now, so it will be anything but easy for them to win this segment of the market back. Well, that's what you might think, but the reality is that hardcore gamers can be stupidly easily manipulated by companies, so it really doesn't take a lot for Nintendo to not only be accepted by hardcore gamers again, but to become the most loved video games company of all of them. They just need to follow these ten simple rules:

1. Graphics, graphics, graphics - The one big thing that is holding today's Nintendo games back is graphics. Imagine a Super Mario Galaxy game in HD. Glorious. Or The Legend of Zelda. Beautiful. (They seem to be following this one)

2. Better online - Next in line, the online. Another problem that Nintendo can easily fix. Without it being an issue, there's not much reason to complain about it anymore. Although some people always find something to whine about. (They are hiring for an engineer to make their online better, so this one is up in the air for now)

3. No stupid controller - Now this really shouldn't be hard for Nintendo. Everyone knows what the hardcore gamer wants: The same controller they've played with for almost 15 years. (I hope the Wii2 controller looks better than it sounds. We haven't seen a concrete picture of one, so for now, this is anther rule they may not follow)

4. Stop selling hardware at a profit - It's seen as a dishonorable practice. It shows that a company doesn't care for their customers. (Why?)

5. No more casual games - Nobody wants to play this crap. Make real games for real gamers only. (Unfortunately, this is one thing that may not stop)

6. Stop talking about business and historical sales data - It's boring and it just shows that you don't really care for gaming.

7. Add something like achievements to your games - Without them, people will continue to pick Harry Potter games over Super Mario Galaxy 2. (Again, they are hiring for an online engineer so this one is up in the air as well)

8. Do not harm the console sales of Sony and Microsoft - It's mean. Please, don't do it. (Unless they tap another blue oocean, following this one will be kinda hard)

9. No more shovelware - We are sick of it. Stop encouraging third parties to put out low quality games. (The market leader always gets the shovelware)

10. The one rule to rule them all - Following so many individual steps is quite a lot of work, so wouldn't it be great if there was an option that only requires you to keep one thing in mind and still cover everything that was mentioned above? Well, it's your lucky day, Nintendo. Go third party.

That way you are going to offer graphics and online that is satisfactory to the hardcore gamer. You got a good controller and won't get bashed for selling hardware at a profit (because you sell none anymore). You don't need to make casual games anymore, because you have no hardware to sell. Sony and Microsoft will be the ones making these games. You can stop your charade and try to make people believe that you care for the future of the industry for the sake of promoting your hardware. Your games will feature achievements and trophies. You won't hurt the console sales of Sony and Microsoft. No, in fact, you are going to help them both. And no more shovelware problem, because third parties will have to make better games in order to compete with you.

But best of all, by being a third party developer for both, Sony and Microsoft, these companies will shower you with praise for your hard work and hardcore gamers live by those words. If Sony and Microsoft say "Nintendo and motion controls are not cool", then you are not cool, Nintendo. But if they say "motion controls are great", then hardcore gamers also think that motion controls are great.

You see, Nintendo, it doesn't take a whole lot to change the perception hardcore gamers have of you. Just go for it! (You hit the nail on the head with this one)
