What I liked:
- Interesting cast of characters .
- Wonderful art style.
- Amazing soundtrack. (Jack Wall is effin' awesome!)
- satisfying gunplay.
- Some of the loyalty missions were awesome.
- Top notch voice acting.
- Badass Ending.
What I didn't like:
- Streamlined RPG elements. I didn't feel invested in the characters as much as the first game.
- Mako. Yeah, I'm one of the few people who actually liked the Mako missions. Sure the controls were kinda wonky but it needed to be fixed, not completely removed.
- Level design. The levels feel much smaller compared to the first game. Way too many linear, narrow corridors and conveniantly placed chest-high walls completely break immersion. It's hard to explain but the first game actually gave you the feeling that you're part of huge alien worlds. ME2 fails to do that.
- The game never forces the player to pick different choices even though Bioware kept raving about how my choices matter. The paragon choice is always the right choice. The game never gives you a compelling reason to pick a different choice.
- I felt some of the elements in the story didn't make a whole lot of sense. e.g The T-1000 Reaper, seriously what the hell was that?
- The mining mini-game. nuff said.
Overall, pretty good game but I didn't like it as much as the first.
